lol ya know that's gotta be a nice thing about being a muslim girl - if all else fails you could always wear some sort of religious garb.

I went to a private nonboarding school for grade school, and they had uniforms - always loved not having to think about what I am going to wear that morning.

But if you dont wear "religous" clothing its not easy to get away with it plus Islam doesnt restrict anyone as long as the dress is modest and if you have many diff. clothes/stlyes it is hard to decide what to wear.

Right... I realize it's a general note on modesty. But there are certain articles of clothing if i'm not mistaken that were created specifically to fulfill this function. The Niqab, Hijab, Burqa, Abaya - though varying by culture - weren't created to make a fashion statement or for utilitarian reasons right? They were specifically to allow a woman items of clothing they would know for certain are sanctioned by Shariah as modest.

Or am I misunderstanding this...

lol yea getting a prez can b a hassle, esp. for people u dont know, and anyway nowadays ppl have this 'no boxed gifts' trend... 😉 so my family always gives money with a message in a card.

You mention culture but in Islam you can wear anythin, like me for example i dont wear abaya's but some people like my sis does. What i am tryin to say is a loose long skirt and a long top over it serves the same purpose as wearin an abaya.
