How do you know if your in love?

Medarris โ€”

OK, I know that a lot of people have made topics on love before from different angles but I havent been involved in those topics and perhaps some of them occurred before I graced this forum with my presence, lol!!!

Basically, I want to know how do you know if your in love? What are the signs and symptoms of this disease. And pls I am referring to boy-girl love so keep to this type of love, im NOT chatting about brotherly, filial, paternal love etc.

(Dont go get any ideas, im only asking)

Hayder what you feel for one person, you'll never experience it again bcoz love is different every single time. You may get burnt the first time but that will just make you more careful. Altho you may never feel the same thats not to say it wont be as strong the next time.

IMO its not a good idea to compare one relationship with another as the only thing common to the two is you. The other person will be difference, the "love" you feel for them will be different, and even you'l be a little different.

[quote="Omrow"]Salam

Med is right.

Love is for one time.

One cannot love two.

im on abt the true love. You can love again, but never like the first time, IMO. You can marry another, spend years with them, be entirely comfortable with them but never love them or any1 like u did ur first TRUE love. not lust.

I think in life u only feel really deep abt som1 once, the way they talk, the things they like to eat, the way they change their expression when they feeling cheeky, all these things are noted only once. After that u may be able to read another person but u wont FEEL it.

MuslimSisLilSis โ€” Wed, 19 Oct 2005 - 22:50

i disagree with most of the love palava that has been mentioned in this thread

and I reiterate-I hate Romeo's

i find them weak and lacking in self control

well my opinion is

lovesick romeo's/juliets are pathetic

they need to move on and get on with life

nothing is more unnattractive then a person hung up over his/her "true love" and doesnt move on and get on with things

A REAL man (and woman) GETS over things after they been rejected/dumped or whatever

Salam

I know that Prophet loved many people.

But is there a saying from the Prophet which actually has the words: " I love you."

I don't think he ever said those words to any of his 13 wives.

Makes one wonder.

Anyone can say "i love u" but to truly mean it is another thing, love can come from ones' actions i.e pleasing their beloved to do what makes them happy and to refrain from things that dont make them happy etc.
