General Questions

Salaam,

I just have a few questions to ask and would be very grateful if anyone could help me with them. Firstly I would like to say that I have been reading the English translation of the Qur'an and I would definately recommend it. Most of us will probably never learn arabic so the least we can do is read the translation.

1) Why does Jesus (pbuh) refer to God as "father" in the Bible?

2) Regarding 2 women witnesses in the Qur'an, I read it and it says there should be 2 women, in case one is in error, I was told that it was just in case one woman was having menstrual problems/pain whatever u wanna call it? Is this the reasion why?

3) The one which intrigues me most is why does a woman only get a quarter of inheritance and the male gets half? Im assuming it has something to do with the responsibility of the male to organise the funeral etc.???

Please don't think I am doubting the Qur'an, astaghfirullah, that I would never do. What I do know is that there is always a logical reason behind every statement in the Qur'an.

We are more angry then we let on.

We would be just as angry if not living in the west.

There are some who see OBL as a reaction. revenge is used to justify his crimes.

revenge is not acceptable.

Actual millitancy? I doubt it would increase.

Interestingly many of the 9-11 hijackers had all lived in Western countries.

Al Qaeda is often seen as a Western phenomenon rather than an Eastern import.

Had we lived in the East and not emmigrated, IMO we would have joined in with the politics of the homeland and just made anti-Western statemants rather than some of us do anything physical.

Yea there was one case in particular that really struck me as peculiar - a happy go lucky turkish immigrant to German who was a last minute attachment to the Hamburg cell.

I forget his name but the guy sounded like a real gem - had a beautiful young wife, enjoyed having fun and was pretty religious in a good way.

Sounds like the sorta person that could be a good friend.

Then he met up with some of the other Hamburg cell members and a month later he was reading poetry about martydom at a wedding.

(which is peculiar behavior if you ask me)

Point being - the guy wasn't some youth poisoned waziristani seperatist

why is there ALWAYS such a change of personality ionvolved?

could it be that the people who know theese individuals need to justify why theu like the person.

They pick a 'turning point', and say they liked the individual before he 'turned'.

Or is it really these people are suddenly out of nowhere totally brainwashed?

It can take very little to change someone's world view.

You just need to breakdown one or two things that the person had previously held absolute faith in.

The person is left vulnerable and open to persuasion to a new way of thinking.

It is brainwashing - they are trying to deactivate your natural urges against identifying with other people so you can more effectively kill them.

That's the whole purpose of basic training in any army also.

For us it was a little different... they were big on bravado and made sure never to talk about casualties or victims - it was always "targets"

I guess that's because when you are 30 to 40 thousand feet high dropping bombs or in a dogfight you [i]can't[/i] identify with the other person because there is so much between you.

the issue of waziristan has little or no connection with them having a seperatist agenda. The People of South Waziristan committed no crime, either against the Pakistan Government, the Pakistan People or the Afghan People. They made no demands for a seperate state nor have they acted in anyway as traitors to Pakistan, their only crime was to treat well the GUESTS who were invited to Afghan-Pak region by the SECULAR governments.

Jabal al noor wuld be prounced jabal an Noor (If you know arabic, think shamsi and qamari letters..)
