Sort of in mid planning right now... lots of stuff to iron out - i actually had a Cardinal tell me i'd make a terrible Catholic and that I not only don't have to but shouldn't convert.
Ouch.
The Church doesn't want me.
lol Catholic wedding though - lots of fanfare looks in all well over 400 people will be coming to the wedding and a couple hundred more to the reception

Nah it's unimportant, there are more interesting things we can do with our time than bicker on cultural differences.
I'm not so convinced of my own perfection anymore that I care so emphatically about things that don't really concern me and aren't my business.

out of interest, has ne1 actually been to a wedding where the dessert is cake?
every wedding i've been to (and trust me its a lot) always get a paki sweet dish. If the hosts are modren type they might give icecream/kulfi but never had wedding cake. Does it actually happen, and wouldnt they have to buy a HUGE cake to feed all the guests?

During the day it just sits there as a decoration piece gathering dust. Then at the end of the day, when most of the guests have left and the cake has gone slightly mouldy, the remaining close family and friends get to eat it.
