Mosques are people

And if you want them to do something, the best way is to step up and take ownership yourself.

People are busy and if you think a better job can be done, step up to the plate and show people how instead of . It may be appreciated more than donating a quid or two whenever there is a collection too (not that the two activities are exclusive.)

Only if I want them to do more. I am perfectly happy the way they are. I do not bother them, they do not bother me.

Don't know what that is supposed to mean really.

I was just arguing against the point "mosques, what are they good for? they do not cater for people like me." - to get things done, mosques need more than money, they need competent manpower who is willing to do the heavy lifting, make things happen.

So if people find themselves complaining about their local mosque, they should roll their sleeves up and pitch in. If however their offers for help are rebuffed, at that point, complaining can be considered more legitimate.

I would be happy with a proper toilet rather than a hole in the ground.

What message does that send to any non-Muslims who might ever visit the mosque?!?

"Islam is a third-world religion and Muslims want to import their third-world customs to Britain."

n.b. I have no problems shitting in a hole in the ground, I did so for many months in Syria, but if your actually going to BUILD toilets/wudhu facilities in a developed country, don't be so backward looking and ridiculous.

Other than that, I love mosques!

Don't just do something! Stand there.

I agree with you on the toilet issues. times move forward and the British toilets are much easier to use IMO.
