Dear Jim McMahon,
I voted to remain and my family voted to remain. I also bitterly disappointed by the outcome as I think it will hurt worker rights.
With the resignation of the prime Minister there is a chance that we will be called to a snap election before the end of this year and the party needs to be focussed on winning this if one is set.
After the disapointing result in the EU Referendum, the prime Minister has already resigned.
Now there are already murmurs of the usual suspects in the Parliamentary Labour Party trying to subvert its members will and to carry out a coup in the Labour party.
I have recently joined the Labour party and I support our present leader, Jeremy Corbyn
I request that as the local representative you provide your full backing to the present leadership and help dissuade others who may be looking to make an egotistical decision.
These MP's have now been sowing dissent since Tony Blair stepped down and their warmongering has only caused great harm.
As a constituent I have supported Labour and I have also joined the Labour party, a decision I did not take lightly.
Should the Parliamentary Labour party not respect the will of its membership and try to act against the present leader, that was elected by the general membership, I will not be able to continue to support the Labour party or remain a member as I would consider this as another betrayal of the membership and a sign that the PLP is actively working to subvert the will of its members whilst at the same time greatly harming its electoral chances.
In any leadership election I will be voting for Jeremy Corbyn and I expect him to win easily.
The only outcome of any attempted coup would be harming Labour's chances in any snap general election as it would divide the party in a time when it needs to show focus and work to protect us from the harms of the outcome of the EU referendum.
Yours sincerely,

Well done, i welcome your stand and the fact that you have written to your MP. Plus asking others to do the same.
Thanks.
I wrote that letter before it had kicked off, guessing that many would try to use it as an excuse to do what they are doing.
They really are trying to remove a democratic choice for us – giving the option of one party or another one trying to mimic it instead of a real alternative.
Worst thing is this, this attempted coup has been so cynical – they do not think they can beat Corbyn in a leadership election, so the past week they have deliberately harmed the Labour party in order to try to get him to resign and not stand for re-election.
Most Constituency Labour parties are furious at the behaviour of the MP’s but are mostly powerless to act in time to make a difference.
There was an article in the Independent on 7 June (2 weeks before the referendum) which mentioned how plotters had drawn up a plan wth resignations by the hour in order to kick up a media storm which would force Corbyn to resign within 24 hours. That is exactly what they tried.
Worse, the people that are behind this whole farce are not exactly popular with voters or party members. This is a very good article to read and shows the people and organisations behind the attempted coup.
They have really hurt the Labour movement and jeopardised/destroyed its chances in any general election if one takes place in the next few months.

It is hard to believe that we have had a month of this madness.
So many underhanded tactics have been used to try and undermine Jeremy Corbyn that it is hard to believe that they operate under a semblance of democracy and democratic process.
