Stop hitting yourself!

People may say bad things about you.
But you must never say bad things about yourself.
But since you know all your own secrets.
You should instead aspire to be someone of whom you cant speak ill of.

Is that possible? To be someone without fault?

I don't think so.

At the same time, you are the best judge of your character and other people's judgements rarely matter.

So I think the reverse - be honest to yourself and ignore everyone else.

Ofcourse not. You're only human.

But does that mean you should stop aspiring to better yourself? Hell no.

And you cant ignore the views of everyone else. Because each and everyone one of us is a role model for someone out there. And as Ed is famous for saying 'a walking talking advert' of Islam.

Can I disagree with the concept of role models?

They imply that you follow how another person does things/acts etc, but everyone is different.

And the other approach to them is to have different role models - one for each aspect of something you want - but even there, they are complete people and with theior good comes their bad. You cannot separate the two.

But do you aspire to be better than who you are?

Isnt it good to be critical of your self? doesn't that help improve your progress in life?

Sometimes. Other times I want to be a worse person than I am.

Either way it is best the times when I accept who I am - good bad or ugly.

obviously none of us can be perfect but we can try to be the best we can. i think u should listen to others (not all the time) but also look at your own faults yourself, too so i agree with "You should instead aspire to be someone of whom you cant speak ill of."

People say good and bad things about everyone around them, doesn't have to be a loud thought, it can stay in their head, but tehy stil made those assumptions and depending on the type of person you are, You may weither take it up and work to build up your gaps or you may just take it the wrong way and loose your temper thinking how dare he/she make such an assumption!

However, Question: Can someone successfully evaluate itself? If they can, how accurate is it? Is it similar to what others think of it? But this IMPO is a fab way to build up on character (which genuinely requires contact with others) but mental abilities can be built up on in your own time and in your own space.

There's nothing wrong with speaking negatively about yourself, all you have to do is to us such speech to your benefit. Cement the cracks with whatever you feel is missing and if an intervention by another being is required, then it'll most definitely happen. I may be occluded by the surrealism of human brain, but your environment has a significant effect on your behaviour and attitude. That doesn't mean you shouldn't speak ill of yourself and as you may be aware, it is unnecassary to speak ill about someone else in their absence (unless of course, it is asked for by the individual itself)

Have you been at the marijuana again?
Bad wednesday. Get some sleep.
