edit: i see NO ONE (sad) has commented on this. I really liked what the shaykh said! and i thought it would be nice to share this on here.

so to my lazy friends, here is a lil overview of what talks about:

*how the youth had an important place in Islam and the spreading of Islam
*how young people were amongst the first to convert
*we are the future (sorry for cliche)
*we have the time
*how the prophet (pbuh) gave great responsibilities to the youth in his time. And he mentions lots of names and stories. (the clip is only 3mins)

when i have more time, i'll put up the names. and we can check them out in more details. PLENTY OF ROLE MODELS FOR THE GUY YOUTH COMPLAINING THERE IS NO ONE TO LOOK UP TO.

Subhanallah this is a very hard hitting topic. I have heard many lectures talking about the importance of the youth in Islam.

When you hear these stories of the young sahabah that carried the deen forward it makes you ponder on what you are doing for the deen. Unlike all the comic book characters and superheroes these guys are real and what they acheived was amazing.

They are the role models we need to have in our lives rather than these so called celebrities and superstars of today. 50cent and David Beckham arent gonna help you attain Jannah.

What we need is more people like this sheikh to encourage the youth and show them the right path. IMO most of the elder muslims look down on the young muslims of today and sit in the masjids concentrating on themselves.

My question is how do we reach out to the muslim youth espescially the ones on the streets chasing dunya.

Jazakallah khair for the video. (must have missed it before)

Lets reunite the ummah under one flag LA ILAHA IL ALLAH MUHAMMADUR RASULULLAH

well..if the older muslims arent gona help, we gotta help ourselves. We go out there, get the knowledge and teach the younger one. We might have to be the generation that's gona shake things up and starts things up. we ARE the generation (most of us) issued from immagration but born here. IT'S TIME TO SHINE.

and you're right, these sahabas were real and their stories are awesome, even better than movies and such. I read a book about the 4 caliphs once. at the end, you dont have to "wish it was true" coz IT ISSSSSSSSSSS

About this video. I love the arabic..so beautiful...

Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?

Insha Allah we will be the generation to shake things and make things happen. I want to insha Allah leave my mark on this world before i leave. I don't want to be known as Foysol the carpenter, had a family and was a nice guy blah blah blah

I wan't to be more like the sahabah(R.A) someone who spread Islam to the four corners of the world.

Insha Allah there will be an Umar ibn khattab and Khalid bin Walid among this generation.

Lets reunite the ummah under one flag LA ILAHA IL ALLAH MUHAMMADUR RASULULLAH

I don't know about the video, but the message from me to the younger generation is as follows:

"Always practice safe sex"

If I ever have to kill for something, it would be for, "A woman"
If I ever have to kill something it would have to be, "A woman"

He's gna deny it, but Jack forgot the word halal in that sentence.

Got me there...

If I ever have to kill for something, it would be for, "A woman"
If I ever have to kill something it would have to be, "A woman"

you just dirtied my topic (yet again). You and I both need to pray that you may see the world in less of a sexual perspective...

Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?
