The previous government’s controversial programme for preventing violent extremism is currently being reviewed by the Home Office. How did it happen that programmes which were introduced with the aim of promoting “community cohesion†and preventing the influence of violent extremists ended up achieving the opposite of what they set out to achieve? Since the introduction of such programmes British Muslim communities have been engaged in what is effectively a ‘civil war’ which has left young Muslims (the intended beneficiaries of the programmes) further marginalised and more vulnerable to extremist ideas.
Until now, the idea has been that life on Earth must be composed of at least the six elements carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, sulphur and phosphorus - no example had ever been found that violates this golden rule of biochemistry.
and now they have found one that replaced the phosphorus from that list with arsenic - normally considered poisonous.
Now someone please tell me how in the hell did that happen?
While everyone is focussing on wikileaks, some acts of terrorism may be going less noticed.
Today an Iranian scientist was murdered by some terrorists who planted a bomb on his car while he was driving it (the terrorists were on motorcycles).
Another scientist was injured in a separate incident and this is the third targetted attack in this year, prompting questionjs as to who is killing these scientists.
The United States has notified Ankara that the expected new release of classified US documents may contain references to Turkey, a Turkish official said on Friday
