Med is banned shock

can someone please give me the link to the thread that resulted in med being band or explain the reason why he was banned

You — Thu, 9 Feb 2006 - 01:33

I told him not to post something.

He called my bluff. I do not bluff.

and Angel has left... citing him as the reason

[EDIT]

It should all be in this thread... it was here where he played his final gambit...

Hey Hayder - I've got a tax question for you from Shazan:

"I’ve donated to some charity where I had to give them my national insurance number and the Inland Revenue reimbursed me a small percentage of my donation- I’m sure someone will clarify this."

I don't know British law but it seems to be a little peculiar they would need his national insurance - is that basically the British equivalent of Social Security?

100man — Thu, 9 Feb 2006 - 13:55

Yes, that's what National Insurance is.

Gift Aid: Basically an imperfect system for sparing charities tax while also making the treasury look somehow benevolent, under the Gift Aid and Payroll Giving schemes the treasury gives when you give. They can bump up the amount of charity typically by 28%, not to be sniffed at. If you pay in a higher tax band you can also get a refund on some 18%, the difference between basic and higher tax rates. For Gift Aid to work charities must provide necessary paperwork relating to the donor. So with the right paperwork the deal is you give, the charity can claim even more, and you can claim some rebate. Otherwise the deal is the treasury takes what it can get and asks no questions.

No idea how the tax system works maself

all i know is im not happy when i goive tax or N.I.

so i choose not to work.....i dont get paid, but i dont get robbed either

whats the point workin if ur gona lose half your dough 😃

yashmaki — Thu, 9 Feb 2006 - 16:22

ive never been taxed muahahahah. I've done nothing dodgy. My sis told me you have to reach a certain level in your income., then you're given a tax code and you begin to get taxed. I guess coz i only worked part time throughout my school, college and uni days i never earned enough money to get taxed. i did enuff over time though. girls at work used to be fuming, how come she dunt get taxed, take it out with the inland revenue luv 😉
whats the point workin if ur gona lose half your dough 😃
You're part of society, like it or lump it. You're required to pool some of your resources for the greater good. Otherwise you probably wouldn't. The deal with that is that you invest through taxes in public services, mostly according to what you can afford (a percentage of income scaled by earnings, a percentage of spending, windfall taxes, locally a flat sum, and access to welfare). I would not assume that taxes are spent wisely, but nor would I question the wisdom of taxation. It is no excuse to be idle.

I have deleted the Me-Med account. I got an email off Med asking why he had recieved an email after being banned... and no imposters are allowed according to the rules.

Probably Judda then.

How's Med doing?

You — Fri, 10 Feb 2006 - 00:48
so if he didnt email u would have kept the account and it wasnt judda
If the name was changed, yes. As long the posting style was also acceptable.

I have delegated banning powers to the mods though. They may not be as lenient as me. But they all have my trust and support.

(and Mods do not wait for me to ban people. If needs be, go ban crazy. Just think before you act, and PM me lettign me know reasons... and quotes if possible... I may need to justify 'my' actions to other forumites...)

Dave — Fri, 10 Feb 2006 - 00:49

hmm... well if you email him again tell him I said "howdy"

Angel is busy atm and still angry - I think she'll come around eventually.

Girls just need time.

And money.

And clothes, jewelry, attention - good GOD the attention , cars, a shoulder to cry on, to be put in their place occasionally, shoes, and something to keep them giggling in between all the shopping, attention seeking, shoulder crying and driving.
mashaALLAH I am sure people here who are ''sunni'' are well aware that Sayyidina Hussayn and a great number of the Ahlul Bayt were martyed on 10th Muharram.

Pray tell me, a true Sunni would also know what day Sayyidina Umar radhiyallahu anh was martyred? According to the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah, if the imaan of ALL people after the Ambiya alayhimus salaam and Sayyidina Abu Bakr radhiyallahu anh were placed on one scale, and the imaan of Sayyidina Umar radhiyallahu anh on the other end of the scale; then the imaan of Sayyidina Umar radhiyallahu anh would be more and weightier. This Umar, whose rank is most superior after the Prophets and Sayyidina Abu Bakr radhiyallahu anh; this Umar whom the so-called "Sunnis" claim to love and follow.

Pray tell me about HIS martyrdom.

Pray tell me, a true Sunni would also know what day Sayyidina Uthman radhiyallahu anh was martyred? According to the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah, if the imaan of ALL people after the Ambiya alayhimus salaam, Sayyidina Abu Bakr and Sayyidina Umar radhiyallahu anhuma were placed on one scale, and the imaan of Sayyidina Uthman radhiyallahu anh on the other end of the scale; then the imaan of Sayyidina Uthman radhiyallahu anh would be more and weightier. This Uthman, whose rank is most superior after the Prophets alayhimus salaam, Sayyidina Abu Bakr and Sayyidina Umar radhiyallahu anhuma; this Uthman whom the so-called "Sunnis" claim to love and follow.

Pray tell me about HIS martyrdom.
