hang on.. isn't your dad a dentist?

You — Tue, 20 Dec 2005 - 00:51

They keep telling you at uni so that you consider it.

In return there will always be a limited amount of dentists. That means top dollar for mundane work.

That means more people wanting to be dentists, who are 'suggested' the fact that dentists are suicidal...

Its a merry go around conspiracy!

I am soooo sick of the med school people and their self righteous diatribes about how they want to "save the world" and such - we all know its about money.

Don take a break from your studies.

In this state you will not get much reward for your effort.

Get a good 8 hours sleep, and then do an almighty cram for 3 hours.

Cram sessions work. Do not go by what you are taught (that last min work is of no use... It defo is... as long as you know what to cram)

In my second year at uni, I had 6 exams in 6 days. (I realised afterwards this was against uni policy... too late to do anything.)

To compound the situation, I had to attend a cousins wedding in Pakistan just before.

I got back to the uk 1 day before first exam (I had not taken books etc with me.), and spent the first day acclimatising, as my books were at a flat at uni.

I arrived at my flat about 2 hours before exam. Tried to study, but was tired. I had a nap, and half an hour before exam I started to study. (I had not even attended (many) lectures in the subject... so it was not revision...). I did pass, but not by too much.

I wasted my time at uni, and was pretty stupid. (have I mentioned I forgot to hand in some coursework worth alot? I still have it at home... all completed!!)

Moral of the story? things can always get worse.

Dave — Tue, 20 Dec 2005 - 01:14
How long you got to go with your work? Is this the 10000000000000 page assignment?
lol I just finished a minute ago.

This isn't the 10000000000 page assignment, i'm starting the real work on that next semester

OUCH.

Thats absolutely brutal - i'm facing something like that this semester with "doubled finals"

And yea finals = exams BUT for my conlaw final I have to turn in case briefings of all the cases we did this semester (there were 50) they have to be a full page single spaced. That doesn't even get graded or taken into consideration with the final... if you don't do them you fail.
