Hadhrat Khushro (ra) ... (i think thats how its spelt) was the awliya responsible for the mystics behind qiwali..... you know when you hear Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan making them noises, da da da na na ra ra sarey gama nana padeeeynin nina etc..........its actually a language, and an art very few have mastered
he created these sounds out of pure love and devtion, and they mean something....something i dont know

May Allah grant him peace.....oh my god i love Nausrat Fateh Ali Khan's voice, its amazin...has anyone heard him recite before one of his Qawali's "Ya Nabi Salam alaika" oh my that is just out of this world, its read with so much love, well thats what i think cuz it has an effect on me.
If anyone wants the ringtone(well its him actually reciting it, no a tune, if you get what i mean) i'll send it through my mobile, its lovely (only for the girls)

PS I don't think we are taking full advantage of gmail. We can all share bare nasheeds, qawalis with each other through gmail. Hayder, you must have some decent qawalis.
I've got about 15 tracks stored on my gmail account, but that's only taken up 5% of the space.

btw there loads of nasheed on this site, for all u sami yusuf fans and there many others as well.
yeh i dont like their songs much either, theyv copied from here and there, not much originality at this stage, but the guy who sings in urdu has a really good voice mashaAllah, which is y i think Tajdar-e-Haram and Allah Hoo are the best ones 786 have done thusfar.

u mean the zikr in the background? i love that, it makes the naat even more beautiful, i love naats that have zikr at the back.

I like the "contrast" i dont know, i find it easy to lose myself into the naat while zikr is being done in the background, your doin 2 things at one time, listening to the naat and doin zikr in your heart

they are not that bad, 786 - half good half bad
good voices, some of the music direction im not fond off, but generally i look out for thier stuff
