lol I was thinking about Dave when I mentioned it to you last time, was wondering how he and Annette were getting on with the twins, when you really think about someone they must know!

Hey Dave, hows you? How family? busy busy I take it. You better come back and fill us in or else.....well just fill us in Blum 3

Wow sorry about that!

That was supposed to be "Hi!" and this big long message... but it didn't post... so that's weird.

Anyway! I'm super! And suuuuuuper busy; my small family is quite well but stressed because I'm on domestic and hug duty while my wife finishes school (decided to pursue medicine afterall). I'm working for a big international lawfirm based here in the US, and it's doing surprisingly well given the economy... still a little frightened though. The military thing did NOT work out and I couldn't continue for medical reasons; which is all fine and dandy since I was getting a little monstrous.

Sadly this means I haven't kept in shape - at all!

I'm pretty much the same, just more subdued. I worked out all my anger issues and oddly enough that kind of helped me out religiously too.

How are you all?

And who all is still here!?

Sounds good. Thought you were testing who was still around or not.

Omrow has decided to grace us with his presence again, so you may get an earful over some thing there. Beware.

Can't be worse than me!

Anger issues?

"Subduedness" probably comes with age?

As for this place, there are a bunch of new people mostly posting with some old hands still around.

and I be fine, trying to look cool within the new blood.

As for work, I am living the high life of unemployment.

And who all is still here!?

In case you did not know, MuslimSister got married recently (and has not posted since), DUST got married at some point (and inshallah is enjoying married life and inshallah will return to here too), Angel got married (and then seemed to have dropped off for a long time, but has sort of returned and is willing to continue the dolphin rivalry). J de V/100 is still sort of around - since the current Gaza conflict he was less comfortable and I don't really blame him - I went overboard with linking to articles, videos etc and some new members were less than complimentary of him.

Sirus/Hayder is not around and Dawud seems to have come back and is occasionally around. From the blogs you should be ablt to tell that Seraphim this year went and did Hajj.

I think Ya'qub was here when you were around. He is still around. Currently in Syria, but due back in the uk for a couple of weeks from next week.

Naz posts very occasionally (but she should post more IMO).

erm... who else? Got any names?

Good. Good. Good.
A good natured friend is keenly missed and always welcome.

Edit:
'You' (formerly Admin) posted before me and said what I was gonna say, so I've deleted it and left this:

I don't know if Muslimbro came after you left or before but he's a staple character too. Other than that, everyone else is new. The most noise is being made from Wednesday, ThePowerofSilence (ironically. Just incase you missed that, what with being American and everything  ) and Sbf.

Apologies for those who were missed. Oh and this guy is new too-->

Edit of the edit:

Make_me_Rawr is also banging pots together.

There are also a few people around who are fans of something called twilight. Whatever it is, I think it happens after dark and before dawn.

I honestly thought that said 'menstrous'.

Either way, glad you're back!

Don't just do something! Stand there.

@ Jay K - mind if I break all this into its own topic? I think leaving this in No topic may not be the best of ideas.

hi ppl just wanted to know where would be the best place to study the Quran and Hadith?

quran and hadith = india/pakistan

fiqh = syria

you just need to find a really good teacher.

Would people actually travel all the way to india and pakistan to do that?

okay dumb question, obviously dedicated people would. But wait are you being sarcastic?

Oh by the way, Noor, I found that book, er I cant pronounce it or spell it..Shamil-e-Tamill (Okay I know thats wrong spelling and compltely wrong and probably means something else) I flicked through the book and it had urdu in it I think :S and also, is it about hadiths?

and just in case you cant remember you recommended it to me because i said I wanted to read books about the Prophet's characteristics and life.

Many do, but I think Pakistan no longer admits the students.

As for more going over, I would not recommend it - there are good schools etc there, but many people there seem to have groupings and sectarianism drilled into them.
