London is so squashed for space that some schools resort to using public places for their pupils leisure and studies.
In the school I worked in today, pupils used a GRAVEYARD as their playground. :?

My old primary skool was first a graveyard then a hospital then a shopping thing, then became a school.
IMO allowing kids to jump around tombstones and graves is disrespectful, dodgy, creepy and wrong.

its purely a cultural thing, we've been conditioned to beleive it is like that.
wheares i dont know the position of that in islam (nor do i particularly care  ) but if sum1 did that on my grave i wud not really care.
look at it from another point of view:
1. Hows it disrespectful when these dead ppl dont know?
2. How is it `dodgy`?
if i was u i wud cut down on all them horrer films
3. Why is it creapy? we all gotta die someday.
4. and as for `wrong` whats so bad about it?
my kashmiri m8s have told me that in kashmir there are ppl's skeletons on the floor, and ppl step over them like its a bit of rubbish
to beleive that is immorel is nothing but cultural conditioning
UNLESS u can provide evidence that islamically it is wrong - i have heard MANY ppl say that it is wrong according to the deen, yet i have NEVER heard any1 provide evidence 4 it.

The dead can hear ur footsteps and they also reply back to ur salaam which u give them.
Allah sees and hears all.
ofcourse it isnt allowd, wud sum1 do that to the graves of the awliya, prophets, sahabahs/sahbiyas?
Its about RESPECT.
im sure its not allwd in Islam to do sumthing so awful n disgusting.
Submitted by TEX on 22 September, 2006 - 12:50 #99
it wud only be disrespectful to the prophets (pbuh) grave
no those ppl in the graves cannot here us, its nothing but baseless superstition
muhammads case is an exception- i will not be going into that.
the dead cannot hear or see - u canoot PROVE that it is against the deen to play in a graveyard
plenty of ppl say "i'm sure" but none of them have ever proven that...
