The SonyErricssons are almost the same as last year's. Same with most samsungs.
Noone has really brouight anything fancyto the market. Except the Prada phone which looks nice. I may get that or wait for the iPhone.

Well I did want to get the p990 sony ericcson to upgrade from my p910 I saw that as the bset phne on the market, and pretty nice...until I saw mac, im only concerned that mac have not made a tablet notebook, basically that means I have to use a windows tablet pc...which I don't really want to...I really hope they come out with a tablet, about 10-12"
I just ordered my laptop, which is installed with xp pro. It's really good, has a fingerprint scanner and a built-in webcam, it's more of a business laptop 8).
Atleast I don't have to worry about my 'softwares' not working :P.
Mac's are expensive or what, you can buy two pc's for the price of one mac.

I've been using Macs since before they were popular and I've never had a virus or any major crashes.
Plus, you can't get many games for Mac so you don't waste much time that you should be being productive!

The Mac notepad thingies are pretty convenient for little tasks like meal menus, personal notes, checking email and other little things like that. Which is mostly what I use them for - but I still prefer IBM for word processing, internet use and all of other stuff.

I just don't like the way they (Macs) look, they seem rather childish. Not to mention outside of his Pixar work (which is brilliant) I can't stand Steve Jobs.
They don't look nearly as childish once you've covered them in all your Pokemon stickers!

I think it's Steve's particular flavor of arrogant and annoying. For example I can handle that bald headed monkey dance psycho at microsoft "DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS" because at least you can dismiss them off as fools and since they are well paid fools they won't stick around to challenge you. (Though I might be a little concerned he'd throw a chair at me like he did his senior developer that ran off to google)
Steve is like a hippy LSD Junky that thinks he's got all this class and sophistocation because he drinks sobe eats sushi and buys abstract art. I bet he's one of those morons that does obnoxious things like lectures his friends on wines & politics when he forces them to dinner.
...as you can see I've given this far too much consideration. I really don't like that guy.

Okay Ewan McGregor gets points - I like that guy. But Quentin Tarantino!? No way! Quentin makes some amazing movies, they are over done, but thats what makes it funny as hell. His movies were brilliant, pulp fiction, one of the best ever, too funny. They make me laugh so much it just makes it brilliant. It's one of those WTF?! scenes, it's like you know he does it to take the piss.

[b]10 Reasons why Macs are Better:[/b]
1. Last year there were 114000 known viruses... not one of them built to infect a Mac. Plus Macs comes with in an inbuilt Firewall.
2. Macs dont come filled with cr@p that you dont need or use.
3. Macs dont get the blue screen of death... made popular by Micro$haft.
4. Macs come with inbuilt peripherals such as video camera's which they've only started doing recently on laptops.
5. No upgrading nightmares... a 5 year old machine can run the latest Mac OS. Whilst a 5 year old PC cant load the latest Micro$haft OS.
6. Macs are not all about being creative fun and all that Jazz... they also run things like Office X for ages now... although i would prefer Claris Works which is the same things really. But yeah Macs have Office too.
7. The connection to the Mac itself is magnetic, and should break off before someone trips over the power cord and drags the computer off the desk..
8. Macs work great outta the box... they dont require upgrade drivers or assembly. They dont come bundled with software you never asked for.
9. Mac laptops also weight a lot less than their Windows laptop counterparts.
10. Macs have been using Dual core CPU's for years now... while they've only just been released for the PC.
Infact the only problem i can think of that Macs suffer from is being under-supported in the Games industry. Not many games are available for the Mac... but if you dont use your PC for games then you're fine.

err, actually this ain't completely true.
My friend bought a brand-new (albeit rather cheap) laptop about a week after Vista came out and his computer runs really INCREDIBLY slowly. eg he has to wait for atleast twenty seconds for a simple window to open from the desktop, with no other programs running. I'm not exaggerating!
anyway,

If I was not so set in my windows ways, Linux would probably suit my needs better. Apart from gaming, but for that I can dual boot, or potentially use Wine. I have been using "Fedora" to tinker with for quite a while now.
It's just I do not find Windows annoying enough to change.
Same with browsers. I switched to firefox becasue it behaviour wise it was very similar to IE. Apart from a few enhancements. Pretty easy to move over.

Okay perhaps i should have phrased it better... a 5 year mac can run the latest Mac X OS WITHOUT PROBLEM while PCs will encounter numerious problems... before they run like a fat mule that has the Bird Flu.
Im not trying to cause divides im simply pointing out that Micro$haft sux... despite all that money invest etc... they still come out with absolute cr@p. Instead of making life easier they're making it harder.

As I'm buying a new laptop with xp I'll provide an argument.
So does xp pro sp2 and vista.
You can uninstall the stuff you don't need.
Something is better than nothing. Give it to someone else or sell it if you don't want it.
Some people like heavy laptops, comes useful when doing weight lifting :D.

yeah... after you've finished installing XP... then finished installing the service packs... and Micro$haft have only just included it in Vista as they've seen Apple has been doing this for years. Clearly one company thinks ahead... while the others only interested in money.
If your a new user to PC you dont really know whats what ... and the thought of uninstalling anything can be too scary for some. Besides why should you have to uninstall? You didnt ask for it, yet you've paid for it? So its kinda paying for something you dont want.
Actually i think you'll find Apples are better than both PCs and nothing. Theres a reason why PCs come bundled with this software... its a pile of cr@p that they're having to give away. So you'd only end up with cr@p on your Hard Drive... and then having to sell cr@p to someone else? Who buys cr@p anyway? (Other than Farmers).
Name two people? Carrying alot more weight then you have to is not something people normally do. And if they want to do weight lifting... thats what the Gyms for... besides you cant really be developing any muscles from lifting laptops?
Again... it clearly shows how some companies actually think ahead to the future... whilst others are clearly only in it for the money.

Vista gets more buggy for me everyday... that Com Surrogate thing won't go away and now I'm getting some message about "NTLDR missing"

Oh well, I've paid for the laptop so might aswell use it. Macs are really expensive though.

The only way I am going to convert to mac's will be when I either get the BlueScreenOfDeath, or when xp is discontinued.
I've always used windows, don't know much about mac but it looks like my support for windows may come to an end as I might not be upgrading to vista.
So, who will I stand with?....only time can tell.
When I had an NTLDR missing screen I couldn't start-up no matter what. NTLDR is one of the main files responsible for Windows boot-up. It is very annoying. After many days of frustration, using another computer I had to download a fix that now creates a wierd multilingual screen during boot-up, but I haven't had problems since.

However I would only use it if you have already tried the recovery console on the Windows bootable disk, or if you can be patient, request an installation disk from the manufacturer of the PC.
