NO TOPIC

You โ€”

Well This is the new No Topic Topic. ๐Ÿ˜›

For those who do not know, this place is to talk about nothing. Nada. Zilch. And everything else which according to you does not deserve it's own topic.

The other one was getting a bit long, and was just full of bickering now.

So we have a new start.

The bickering in the Old no topic should not be carried over to here.

EDIT - go to NO TOPIC the Third.

Dave โ€” Wed, 15 Nov 2006 - 00:49

It's a little strange to think I've been on the forum this long... but when I first started posting here I was a college sophomore (I think) with a beautiful girlfriend named Annette and not very much else... and now I am a Law School student, once again a USAF officer, and a husband and father with three girls in my life Annette, Isabella and Olivia Hamilton.

As of 5:12 yesterday I'm a father, sorry I took so long to let you guys know but I have been running back and forth between the hospital and home for so long it's been difficult to do anything. I've never been happier in my entire life, even more than my wedding day if you can believe it. I really do not think I will be able to be online as much if at all with the children, helping Annette recover and with LS so in case I am not able to come back I just wanted to say one final time thanks everybody for all your encouragement, advice and help during the last couple years. I've somehow managed to turn from an out of control alcoholic spoiled brat into a responsible and productive husband, man and now father and I think in no small part this is due to your daily insights.

Email me from time to time - it's not changed, andoverpolo@yahoo.com.

Take Care, God bless you all
School are big on cross-curricular links which basically means that you should teach one topic, but you should make it interesting, enjoyable and relevant by making it link to all other subjects in schools.

I have to do thatโ€ฆSO, Iโ€™ve decided that, Iโ€™ll teach a class of year 5 students about Islam in RE.

In Art they can make a prayer mat and /or Kaba using paper macheโ€ฆor paint some of the famous historical Mosques around the world.

In History they can learn about pre-Islamic Arabia.

For their class trip they can visit Regents Park Mosque.

For music Iโ€™ll introduce them to the Qasidahโ€ฆin Arabic

In PE Iโ€™ll teach them how to do โ€œdervish dancingโ€ (thatโ€™ll be fun as thereโ€™s a section in the Dance PE National Curriculum that states that pupils must know how to move in โ€œcircular movementsโ€.

Butโ€ฆIโ€™m stuck on what to do with them in English, Maths, Science and ICTโ€ฆ

Can anyone think of anything relating to Islam that can be done with kids in the above core subjects...?
I recieved top marks for this project which I got back today, apparently it was very "intresting and thought-provoking" ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Thank you guys for brainstorming with me.
