I was actually thinking about referrals that I've made to social services when I've reg noticed my kids coming to class bruised up....and also, when people have asked me if the local gangster wannabe would make a suitable life partner or not etc etc

I dislike being majorly involved in someone elses life. I rather not have the responsiblity - cos it can either go two ways. I wouldnt want to live with any guilt of making the wrong decision.

I wonder where they got their sample from.

have you ever taken part in a survey? it is slow, tedious. I did once when we got a call from one of those big groups. it took about an hour if not longer of tedious questions. They ask questions, read out all the questions and you cannot but in with your answer.

Now for a survey of 2000 people... think of the manhours needed. Unless they make up the results, which I have known people working for these firms to do. "people hang up after a few mins, we make the rest of the results up".

I've taken part in many surveys, I like short questions which require quick answers.

Got a coursework soon where I have to do my own research, can't wait *being sarcastic*

I usually just answer with 'no preference' rather than giv a firm answer on anything.

i highly doubt that statistic because most women who work dont have mirrors in the offices so wouldnt that be a problem.
unless of course they went to the toilet

You can also look at your reflection at anything shiny, such as a glass, window, computer screen, ect.

I knew Imam al-Ghazali (rh) went through a spiritual phase and then came the doubts but I never knew they became an atheist!

I've always carried a mirror in my handbag - during school, college and uni...I'd pretend to be looking for something in my handbag but would be secretly checking out my reflection in my mirror.

In high school my breaktimes were spent in the school toilets - trying out different hairstyles. My evenings and mornings were spent in front of the mirror too.

Now, I've calmed down a bit - I cant check my reflection during the work day, cos my class goes crazy the moment I take my eyes of them. However, I'll still use my car mirror at every red light...I still take hours to get ready on special occasions, stop in front of every mirror in highstreet retail shops and when I'm bored in the kitchen, I'll even use the reflection on the mircrowave door to check myself out.

I sound so vain, but I'm honestly not. I just love trying new stuff out -and its just a bad habit.

Oh, and my newly decorated bedroom is my pride and joy - myself and my two sisters have two door wardrobes each and one bookshelf - it covers an entire wall - and every door is a full length mirror. :oops:

I really dont understand why people have to be perfect looking and they care soo much about what people think of them, i dont really care what people think of me and why should i as long as im happy with myself im ok.
The mirror thing is weird every 30 mins! wow thats amazing.

Women and their appearance is a personal thing - its not always about what others think.

I was wowed by the amount of time unmarried, glamorous, Arab ladies spent on their appearence - and they lived in a segregated household and were covered from head to toe 24/7

I just dont understand why humans can be so self-indulged i mean who cares unless you look like a complete idiot then why bother.

You only just found out? I was probably the only one in the class to leave the assignment till last minute (the night before) while others had spents weeks on it, and I was the only one to pass it! Haha! The rest failed!

The essay is harder than it looks.

I did it in one day, started in the afternoon and worked through the night and finished it the next morning. Got some sleep yesterday, just hope I pass it.

How many 14 pages is that?

I would assume under 5 when hand written (upto 20 words per line, 30 lines = 600 per page.), under 2 (maybe even 1) when typed?

I guess 3000 was also the upper limit? as in max number of words? Always make sure what you do, you do well. Do not worry about words unless you are writing too much and tend to waffle on.
