Hello New members ;)
Salaam
Thought I may aswell start this off as all past members will also need to re-register.
Inshallah we will be a friendly bunch here, but expect many firework displays as we all defend our positions.
EDIT
Just to avoid confusion, I have written some guidelines to choosing a name.

Hello New members ;)
They can ban.
They can add (and remove) words to the banned word list.
They can put limits on the names which people can choose.
They can see the ip address as before, and still have the previous powers.
And I think they can edit accounts.

Hello New members ;)
Is it not suposed to be first and third line that rhyme?
If so you so far have:
"Dead?" I said,
"Who?" I say
...but that didn't rhyme with said
And cheating... add the topic as the last line....
This thread is dead!!
Now all together:
"Dead?" I said,
"Who?" I say
...but that didn't rhyme with said
This thread is dead!!
I am the grand poet!
we have some new trixy memberses precious, why do they not introduces themselveses?
Because they'd start refering to themselves in the third person...
which would get awfully confusing.
Hello New members ;)
Salaam,
I hope that you and your families are all well.
I was just browsing and I thought that I'd add my reasons for visiting; I'll try and keep it short:
How did I find out about this site?
Well, one day I was thinking..."Wow! I've accomplished absolutely nothing of any real significance in my life so far. That's awful! I really should do something about this. Do I really want to look back at my life and feel that I could, should have done more? I need to better myself, I need to help others..."
So, naturally, I then ploughed all my spare time into playing computer games and generally trying to ignore that nagging voice in my head...
To cut a long story short: I managed to help organise an event at our local Masjid and I asked the youngsters what sorts of future activities/events they'd like developed for them. Along with the usual requests for trips to theme parks and cricket/football clubs, there were suggestions of a newsletter for the youth...
I thought "What a great idea! But what is a youth newsletter and what should be in it?"
When I got home I remembered that I had a bunch of 'youth' Muslim magazines safely tucked away on a shelf somewhere. After a few minutes of searching I found about eleven magazines and whilst looking through them I found a July/August edition of 'The Revival' from 1998 (Editor:Sajid Iqbal, Sub-Editors: Manzoor Ahmed Shakir & Khurram Iqbal, Design: Muzamal Mahmood, Typist: Amar Iqbal, do these names sound familiar?).
It was in mint condition too (I was thinking of 'eBaying' it, any idea how much I'd get?). I must have picked it up whilst studying at University.
I then started putting a newsletter together (work is still under progress :(, but I'm aiming to have the first issue finished by the end of February). Whilst doing this I just wondered whether 'The Revival' still existed, perhaps it may even be on the internet? So I put 'The Revival magazine' into Google and it returned this site :).
Boy, have you advanced things! This forum, this website, the magazine, it's all great! Yet you're still trying to improve things! May you all be rewarded for your efforts in ways which are better than anything that I can imagine.
Anyway, that's how I found this website and I hope to pop in, now and again, just to see what you're all discussing. Perhaps I might even contribute to discussions... (but I'm a right thicko, so forgive me if I write anything which upsets anyone).
I'd also like to say that if your team needs help with anything then please feel free to contact me. I'd be more than happy to help in any way that I can :).
May peace be blessed upon you.

Wowsers!
(can you please email me a scan of the issue! 'Ed has this habit of distributing which involves giving the last one away!). Thanks for the compliment re the site etc. I am sure ed feels the same way about the mag!
Good luck with your attempt aswell. I would say combine it with ours, but you seem to be doing it as a community exercise... and I would not want to take away from that.
Things always get heated here, but as long as people remember that the others are also people, and occasionally have a sip of cold water its all ok.
If you have any sugestions or contributions, please make them. the next Issue is aimed for march, so having articles ready and finalised by end of February. if you have something that is of use, let us know! (post in The Revival Needs you...).
Hello New members ;)
Welcome aboard Dark!
I must say old boy, you've made a jolly good entry. Unlike a few new members who come on, make a few extremist nasty posts, and then go away again.
Don't worry, your post betrays no 'thicko'-ness. You'll fit in just fine.
If there's anything I can help you with, just drop me a PM.
😃
Hello New members ;)
I agree with beast - splendid entry!
I hope you stick around for a while, we've had a run of bad luck recently with trolls coming around stirring things up - another cartooner such as yourself can brighten the place up a bit!
Hello New members ;)
Welcome Paladin.
Welcome to the forums,
Nice to see new members joining during such troublesome times as clouded the future becomes.
Beware the forum trolls the mods and Omrows sarcasm.

Salaam Admin,
Unfortunately I don't have access to a scanner so I'm not sure how I could get a copy to you (The 1998 issue is 8 pages long). I'll try and keep it safe until I have a scanner - my brother's thinking of getting one - and then I'll see if I can get a scanned copy to you. Is that okay?
May peace be blessed upon you.

Thank you for your warm welcome Beast 😃
I'm just curious; you ask whether you may be able to help me? I'm very flattered by your selfless act...
Could I then be so bold as to humbly ask who you are (apart from the X-men character of 'Dr Hank McCoy', played by Kelsy Grammer 'Fraser' in the upcoming X-men 3 movie 😉 ) and what you would be willing to help with?
Many Thanks.

Why thank you Don. I suppose it's because of you that I've started to take an interest in this forum 🙂 .

Thank you for the wise words Seraphim.
For your info: I'm a sad lonely guy. As for my 'allegiance'...hmm...
Could I be a an Elven Jedi Comic book character, who is as handy with a light sabre as with a bow and arrow (that way I can handle both close quarter and distance attacks)? 😉
May peace be blessed upon you all.
Hello New members ;)
That is ok.
Hello New members ;)

Your name familar, i think i saw it on the Masud Forum for a while, if u are the same person and u consider urself a thicko, i fear what u will think of us. Because ur post on there were heavy and too advance for 99.99% of us here. But i look forward to try to learn from some of ur messages.
Hello New members ;)
lol well no thicko could have such amazing taste in television shows. I very much look forward to your posts Paladin! Nobody's impressed us this fast in a while!
Doubly impressive if you're as cerebral as Yuit thinks
Hello New members ;)
Hey I used to see The Dark Paladin on the Masud forums too!
He did some nice poetry. Could he start a poetry thread here? PLEASE!!! I'd really like that. There is already kind of a poetry thread here but its full of all sorts of stuff that isn't anything to do with poetry.
Also The Dark Paladin, in your profile on the Masud forum, under intrests you said u were looking for a wife, are you still looking? 😃
you did make me laugh sometimes and think sometimes.
I really hope your the same Dark Paladin :!:
Hello New members ;)
Guest have we met somewhere before?

Salaam yuit,
So much for my idea of making a modest and understated entrance 🙂
Yes, I used to post on the Masud forums 😃 I'm amazed that anyone would remember any of my postings.
Indeed, you have been blessed with a very good memory yuit, may your blessings continue to give you success in all things.
My memory, on the other hand, is getting worse by the day 🙁 but I do seem to recall discussing the autobiography of Malcom X, by Alex Haley, with you on the Masud forum...Am I correct?
This forum appears to have some very knowledgeable and good-hearted people and although they seem to encounter the occasional 'mishap', they seem to getting on just fine...
So I think I'll just let them all continue developing, without interfering (too often) with my lame, rambling posts 😉
Once again, thank you for the welcome.
May peace be blessed upon you.
Which reminds me - what additional powers do mods have now?
