Kiss Me Baby!

Seraphim

Hi

I dont like public displays of affection especially kissing. I can barely stand people walking around holding hands but kissing is where i draw the line.

There seemed to be quite a few people doing this the other day must be the warm weather tends to affect people strangely.

I dunno... maybe im being a prune but is even holding hands allowed in Islam?
Kissing in public is definately a 'no no' and tends to be something reserved for the married couples in the sanctity of their own homes. What people do in their own homes is their business but please keep it at home.

I dunno ... what do you guys think? Yeh or Nay?

Should we be all for Public Affection or Public Disinfection?

I find it disgusting when couples are kissing (full on) esp in public and when ur just about to get something to eat. It totally puts me of and makes we want to puke.

i have two married couple in my family who ALWAYS eat from the same plate
And don't tell me....they drink from the same glass of water, and feed each other food

Or....

there must be a shortage of plates :P
lol, my cuz bro and his wife used to share food and hold hands....aaawww

Heck she used to feed him too. lucky git

Angel — Thu, 31 Aug 2006 - 14:23

I think that's cute but I wouldn't do that in front of others but I wouldn't do that, just aint me, feeding that is.

As for showing affection in public, holding hands or kiss on the cheek is cute anything more than that is too personal. However like someone has mentioned, for non-Muslims kissing and getting too personal in public is a norm, so nothing you can do about it.

yashmaki — Thu, 31 Aug 2006 - 16:06

oh come on sisters and brothers if you were married you would on occasion feed your partner or eat from the same plate, nothing to be squeemish about. You guys are in denial right now, but once you're married you'll be eating out your partner's hand literally 😂

It's a way of strengthening the bond between husband and wife, it's a beautiful expression of love nothing ew about it lighten up

As for a shortage of plates muslimbro, yeah you'll find one plate will do for you and your wife once you're married 😃

suhailtabani — Thu, 31 Aug 2006 - 16:22

i think its fine for a muslim couple to kiss only if its in the comfort of their own homes now displaying it in public is another thing im not 100% sure but i believe that its against islam. But showing effection between a husband and wife is good there is nothing wrong with that. :!: :!: 🙂

I think it's all lovey dovey when someone is newly wed but it all fades away after a few years.

Yeah I wouldn't mind being fed but I wouldn't feed her 😃

It's all about personality, not love.

And about wether you are willing to participate in unfomfortable talk. I find that when eating it's harder to avoid people pinning you down into a conversation. it's not like you can leave.

Noor — Fri, 1 Sep 2006 - 00:39

You can leave, just grab ur food lol, and make a run for the door and say u've just remmbrd summet!

What about kids?

How appropriate is it for parents to kiss their kids?

And in public? Coz a parent and childs bond is special and unlike any other bond ... even james bond (bad joke).

But some kids are smelly.. i cant imagine anyone wanting to kiss them.

when i see parents showing Affectionate towards thier offsprings i feel happy inside . not all children experiance this kind of warm loving relationship with their parents.

I tend to give my lil sis kisses when shes snoozing, atleast then u cant wipe them off!

Salam

Kissing is ok as long as it is not sexual.

There is a kiss of endearment, and then there is a sensual kiss.

Prophet Muhammad did not mind the former.

I mean if someone while saying goodbye to his woman kisses her
on her forehead, I would not have problem with that.

However, if he were to engage in a long passionte french kiss, then
thats just plain wrong; an act often associated with pram pushers.
Real men dont do that. They save it for the dark.

not many poeple see it in that way. i mean if a husnband as a way of saying goodbye to his wife if he does kiss her on her forhead most people will see that as unapporiate

I agree with Omrow, kiss on the forehead is alright.

But not too sure about the above.... just makes it sound dodge.

another thing that couples shudnt do in public is refer to each other using lamo gay nicknames

in the past i've heard "Janu" "sweetheart" "baby" etc

only "dear" is just about OK

Bliss — Sun, 3 Sep 2006 - 16:38
"Janu"
that word kills me the mst :x
i find it very irratating and annoying.

lol ive never come across a couple who reer to each other as Janu.:D

But i see nothing wrong with that... a little weird maybe but not wrong.

Evidently, ive noticed how some elders (including my parents) do not refer to their partners by name or such. My dad always says 'your mother' and mom always says 'your father'... whats wrong with saying each others name?

Thats so true, my parents never call each other by their names, it's always your father. I think most couples do that, well all the ones i know do.

MuslimSisLilSis — Sun, 3 Sep 2006 - 20:14

my mum and dad call each other by their first name

its only when they're peed of with each other it becomes "call your dad/mum"

LOL

janu is hilarious. my mate calls her hubby jaan. My cuz calls his wife baby and sis calls her hubby hun. I think honey shortened to hun proly sounds the best or even sweety.

I have always thought "dear" is something you would hear the oldies saying.

Noor — Mon, 4 Sep 2006 - 00:13

LOL

Whenever i hear a couple say them kindoff words/names to each other, it cracks me up big time.
Its not even funny, but its the way they say it, its so funny.
Hubby is fine. That dsnt make me laugh.
Its usually the couples from pak hu use them words, its halarious, and wid the freshie accent! 😂
