(and since when is shazan a paki-hater? Im a paki - he doesnt hate me ( i think )) why is is being allowed that shazan is maligned like this?
Long story we don't have the time for. Shaz doesn't hate pakis...

lol seriously though let's not toss around insults and dig up ancient history
Yeah it's very tough, remeber that time when i had to prove you were a snob, boy i passed with fly colours, i am the best
BACK TO TOPIC - Adopting kids....
Noooooo you didn't. I CLEARLY remember at least 2 votes that said I'm not a snob! One was Yuit (sorta) and the other was a random farmer from east sheffield named Timbo!
YOU have to apologize to me and hayder and you have to apologize as a fairy princess.

I agree with physically chastising a child when he/she misbehaves - for example when i was studying in my jamea there were girls in my class who were old enough to understand right from wrong..(they were around 11-14 in age) but yet they were so childish and naughty...they ruined the whole learning experience for the rest of us (who were paying £££'s to study) that were there...the teachers were unable to control them because chastisement is not allowed, the girls knew that and took more advantage...everyday they messed about...disturbing people from their study..now if a had it my way i would have throttled each and every one of them...one days throttling would have sorted them out for good!
MuslimSisLilSis:
I have read a number of your posts and you are a very bitter young girl.
your comments are rude and offensive and intolerable...sister you are still young and to have such malice in the heart, to go to the extent of even threatening to involve the authorities in the affairs of a madrassah merely to cause problems for Med is indeed very sad and I am quite shocked that you would behave so despicably as to cause trouble for a religious institute merely out of some personally vendetta against med.
Dont you fear ALLAH in causing problems for places where the Quran and Ahadeeth are taught day and night? you seem to make little contribution in regards to topics but rather are continually carrying out a personal vendetta against med when he doesnt say anything on the most part directed at you. disagreeing with his points is fine but you dont disagree with his points with rational arguement but resort to snidy comments and cheap shots at some past demeanours.
You should be aware that it is a sign of the hypocrite is that they cause difficulty and trouble to institutes supporting ALLAH's religion - I dont knw whether you are just acting out of feminine irrationality or if you seriously have a disease that compels you to debase med regardless of the consequences for deeni work.

Eloquent said Kamilah , welcome back sister.
Admin- I agree, the Quran should be taught with love However, the teachers cant allow the selected rascals to disrupt other people learning- if we allow this to happen then the Masjid leaning environment would become like inner-city school’s
In my opinion the masjid learning environment at the moment is attrocious.
Good p0laces are few and far in between.

I don't agree with beatin children, I dont see any child that is somehow miraculously changed by it. If there are children who misbehave they should be punished via other means not by physical abuse.

Well i think it depends on what type of beating you give the child, a lil slap wont do any harm!

Angel; Beating, I wont ask you to define beating and know one is suggesting you beat a child.
When i used to go to mosque and whenever some1 was naughty the teacher would make us either sit next to her or make us stand up and hold our tongues...
and then if we were even naughty, big full on hard core slaps on both cheeeks, and boy did they kill!
and if that didnt work, thats when the stick came out....

Noor, you're lucky......
the stick came out first for us boys, the girls always had a second chance.
I ahve suggested in the past that teachers should undertake teacher training courses.
I am of the firm belief that a child is always interested. If a child does not pay attention its because the teacher is boring him/her. There are other ways to make sure kids behave.
You can use rewards. It works brilliantly. And you can be as cruel as you like.
As an example, I once got into taking care of some kids in our house. They were running rampant at one point. I managed to control the situation using various means (cannot remember to be honest - it was a long long time ago), but one kid was still undermining me. So I went to shop, got them all sweets and the like. All except the one not listening. Before dishing them out I made them understand who was getting them and why. And also made it clear they could not be shared with those beiong deprived, or I will take them away.
It was cruel, but that is what I call not violent chastisement. It may have left emotional scars, but hey what do I care?
(oh me taking care of anyone is a joke in itself. I have at times got looks from 7 years olds thinking they are more mature than me! I rarely have to such things.)
The moral of the story is that there are always non-violent means a good teacher can use. A bad teacher will just need an excuse.

Experience tells me hitting kids does not work.
The kids lose the fear. They are twice as bad.

And what other means are available
Thing is some ppl can't differentiate between a light slap and get carried away hence it shouldnt be allowed fullstop.
Other means - Keepin them back/giving them extra homework/getin them to help out etc
