lol its not all that strange ya know! most kids do go and hug dogs and talk to em, its cute... and yea, labradors are sooo cute and friendly. i came across a vicious poodle once tho... depends on the dog and its owner i guess.
lol some dogs are just better with children I suppose... I can see why a kid would want to hug and talk to a labrador or a retriever - they are friendly, furry, and huge - and cartoons promise that they can talk!

and i wud b lying if i said pit bulls and rottweilers dont scare me, i just (calmly ) cross the road when i see one. the owners shud use a muzzle when they take their dogs out for a walk - this makes life easier for everyone around, and i'm fairly sure its not painful or anything for the dog.
Yea I do too... heard too many stories about how vicious they are, and they never seem all that pleasant. I hate it when people just let them run around and they chase you barking like they are trying to kill you and the owner just whimsically yells "oh don't worry it doesn't bite"
Yea - you.
Keep the dog on a leash jerk.

but all puppies are cute, regardless! some family members in India have had an alsation for as long as i can remember, she's a guard dog, and amazingly loyal. i remember going to their place when i was kid, and she'd just given birth - those little alsation puppies were soooo cute! but i couldnt play with them properly coz they hadnt had their vaccinations.
I thought Alsatians were like rotweilers - kinda mean and dangerous
felt sick when i heard that and even disgusted when they said they aint gonna get it put down.
That's the law over here... if your animal attacks a human it has to be put down - and it attacked a kid?
wow... what are they thinking
well i've never come across anyone getting their dogs put down back home...
maybe coz they think their wicked as for guarding
or maybe dogs cost alot to buy ??? :?

lol america - do your cousins ever talk about their country of ethnic origin as "back home"
I've never heard that among any ethnicity here... back home usually means a couple blocks away.
Oh* and if they are our agish ask them if they remember the cartoon "Talespin" and the Character "Don Karnage"

lol, actually i think that comment was more reflective of me than my cousins (tho i doubt they'd call india or wherever as 'back home' either). i've been to india fairly regularly since i was a kid, and havent been to yemen yet, but even tho i luv both places to bits (heard loads about yemen, cant wait to go!) i still dont regard either as 'home'.
'home' is more like places where i have actually lived, places which are ingrained into my memory, which i feel nostalgic about. holiday destinations and places like yemen or india have a seperate feel and excitement about them, but home is something else.

lol so you don't pine for Aden in your spare time - looking wistfully out the window thinking of arabian shores?
Do your parents ever try to pull your interests back to India or Yemen or are visits more like just a vacation?

lol that's cool then - sounds like the UK is your base of operations to see the world.
Allah (swt) Himself, described the actions and mannerism of a mere dogin the holy Qur’an and elevated its status, simply and only because of its close association and link with His Wali’s (friends).
Allah (swt) knows best true status of the dog in Surah Kahf…

And here.
It adds to their "image" and puts fear in others. Many Rude boys do train their dogs to attack and jump on people :?

Wasalaam
in short i heard of a story about a man who saw a thirsty dog and gave him some water...
because of that good act he was granted paradise...
even giving water to a thirsty dog is a means of sadaqah...
Dave is now confused...
So are dogs good or bad in the Qur'an?
Muslims shouldnt "hate/fear or kill" dogs as some advocate.
However at the same time the saliva of a dog is considered impure and we're not allowed to keep dogs as pets.
But kindness to ALL creatures is stressed in Islam.
Dogs are good.
Didnt you say "Dogs won't get into paradise"?
Never said such a thing. Turn back a page and see.
??
Salam
I meant:
Real dogs will get into paradise.
Those who are worse than dogs won't.
Omrow
