My mum and sisters have gone away for a few days so I’m playing the role of Suzy homemaker..

I stayed at home all day today making the dinner…I put a lot of TLC in it and dad said it was really nice, but he’s also known to praise my food even when it looks and tastes like the dogs dinner. :?

At dinner time my dad and brother were complaining about how they went work/college half an hour late today and they were blaming me so I said to them “Are you babies that I need to wake you up”?...I had no idea that mum’s job was also to get the men out of bed.

Tomorrow I have classes and meetings all day long…so I’ve decided that I’m going to cook them a hearty breakfast and leave them to fend for themselves for the rest of the day….

One of these days I'm going to learn to cook really nice dishes really quickly...

*DUST* — Fri, 10 Mar 2006 - 21:44

aww lol MuslimSis i'm sure whatever u cooked turned out great. attitude plays a major part in a persons cooking, so i'm sure the TLC was worth it! 🙂

i guess the cooking fast AND great comes with practice... for me, being a perfectionist does not help, my moms always telling me to hurry up, she says my family will starve if i continue being a perfectionist in the kitchen... 🙁

*DUST* — Fri, 10 Mar 2006 - 21:46

btw girls - check out the sisters forum.

i've opened a new (somewhat controversial) topic that i would like to hear ur views on...

Def. And I'm seriously lacking in practise...only necessity forces me to cook.

But being a fantastic cook is on my “to do list” and I will get round to perfecting my culinary skills. Maybe this summer….

I really rate them women who wake up around 06.00 and by 09.00 they have the house scrubbed clean and dinner cooked…leaving the rest of the day to do their own thing.

I intend to be like that one day..inshallah

MuslimSister — Sun, 12 Mar 2006 - 13:20

It’s hard work managing a house…

Yesterday I had breakfast ready by 10.30 cos I had to leave the house by 11.00am.

My dad got up on time but my brother slept in…so he had to eat cold parathe/omelette and tea….my mums the type who doesn’t got to sleep after Fajr but begins to prepare breakfast only when we have woken up…I don’t have the patience to do stuff like that.

I was out all day so the men had chicken and chips for lunch…and we had to eat out and have a Chinese take away at night cos I didn’t cook… :?

I cant wait till mum returns…

Angel — Sun, 12 Mar 2006 - 13:23

aww when they due back? Mum/dad came back last night, thank god. I take the comment back bout sis, she helped loads. We just fried fish fingers/waffles/potatoe waffles but now mum's back she can worry bout the cooking.

I better get ready, study circle bout to start.

Angel — Sun, 12 Mar 2006 - 22:54

Actually hardly anyone turned up lol cuz of the snow car problems etc. We ended up listening to a lecture of Shaykh-ul-Islam's so it was worth it.

HAYDUH and RAZOR in the most kindest way i say this, remove your avatars NOW cuz its slowing things down and its annoyin. Ta 😃

You — Sun, 12 Mar 2006 - 23:03

wow broadband does make a diference!

I had previously just found their sizes annoying (which I PM'd about) but I can now see the avatar by fresh prince is 959 KB! That is utterly huge.

Always think of others.

As an example, on dial up it could probably take upto 5 mins just to download the avatar!

so... I say get rid of them.

You — Mon, 13 Mar 2006 - 00:59

No, I meant with having broadband, we are less hit by such things.

I did not even realise there was a problem with the size til you mentioned it.

And I am sure some people must be using dialup.

And you lot running your houses for a bit: Its all easy.

Just do not care about the rest.

If they want breakfast, tell them to make it. if they want their clothes washed, tell them to stick them in the washing machine.

Once you start to care, liberties will be taken.

Hell, if someone went out of their way to do the things I need to do, why should I care?

I can probably have all my meals delivered to my door. Freshly cooked. Or if I say no, I can have someone round to make the food.

And that would be easier for me. Afterall I get such an offer almost every day. by a few doferent people.

But I am spoilt, and like my own space. Because I said I was gonna do everything myself, I am. most of the time. Sometimes its just too easy to let others do the stuff for you.

MuslimSister — Mon, 13 Mar 2006 - 13:29

Lol-Come of it Admin...a little bit of consideration goes a long way.

Whilst I do kinda look after my dad when mum goes away...I leave my brother to fend for himself.

iRazor — Tue, 14 Mar 2006 - 00:11

Admin you freak I want my avatar back.

Damn, if it wasnt raining so bad, id come to coppice find out where you live, knock on your door, and run away, then do it again, and again, until u finally went crazy and had to go live in a mental institute, then id put back my avatar. Then it would get taken down by one of your mods, whom I shall Slay, to send a message to all the other mods, then after my life sentence, i shall return and sign up again, and if you bck from the institute, ill knock on your door, n run away one last tym........then i'll prolly wna take a shower cuz prison smells funny...........what was I saying?

iRazor — Tue, 14 Mar 2006 - 00:24
just don't drop the soap.
why wat happns when u drop the soap?

wat website can i upload an image to stick up as an avatar? mine may seem a lil large at the moment

You — Tue, 14 Mar 2006 - 00:33

you said you were gonna go to prison...

Images wise it depends on the image. As long its a decent size, but is width, height and KB, its ok. tryto be around 10KB maximum.

I believe Imageshack has a resize option.

MuslimSister — Tue, 14 Mar 2006 - 09:56
Salam

It is an it's, not an its. That's how it is.

Catastrophe with by an apostrophe:

Wrong use of apostrophe’s and commas has always been my weakness since I was a little girl.

I still am unsure as to where I should place them. I love to write yet I can’t spell and am weak in proper use of punctuations…

Even Microsoft word doesn’t help me in this department..

Angel — Tue, 14 Mar 2006 - 12:22

Admin you don't seem yourself, you ok? :?
why?

What seems off?
You seem all sensitive (not sayin that your normally insensitive  ....)

Wats up?

Reminds me of Martial law, when one of the cops is undercovr in prison, having a shower with his overalls on, he drops the soap, and freezes and then looks around to se another guys looking at him. Funny.

Two questions:

1. Do you actually LOVE to write, or, simply LIKE to write ?

2. Also, do you love to WRITE, or, do you love WRITING ?
