TRADITIONAL OR NOT

At the time of the Prophet Muhammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) they probably were in fashion and maybe after that too, my history is no good.

True.

The Prophet wore the clothes worn by the people in that culture.

They became sunnah becuse he wore them.

The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) lived a simple life. But he was a trendsetter. Others followed him, and still do. What he liked became like by others.

i suppose below bum means covering bum...BUT if they gonna wear one just below the bottom they might aswell not wear one,not much of a kameez is it.

duno how below the bottom shes on about

agree - it spoils the traditional dress i think

some of mine are just above knee

some are really long

depends on outfit

sometimes wear kameez over jeans, thats usually like a kaftan

traditional always at home- and decent, dnt know when will have visitors

non traditional out of home, thats kinda standard, and all relatives and family accept that.

but if wear jeans and top, usually wear chaadhar with it

Salaam

I love the traditional get up…I love the accessories that go with it I love wearing matching bangles, jumke (asian earings) and the dupatta (chiffon scarf).

I think Asian girls suit asian clothes. If I was getting dressed up for an occasion I'd automatically reach for an asian suit.

I think guys should wear Asian clothes a bit more often...At least on Fridays or something.

As a child I’ve had it drummed into me to wear Asian clothes cos they’re not as decent as English clothes…the first thing I’d do when I’d get home from school was change out of my school uniform.

And with Asian clothes, even if the kameez is tight a duppatta covers well.

80% of the tight I wear Asian clothes at home…and when dads gone abroad and there's ony girls at home I wear jeans...

I too am always non traditional outside the home.

Wasalaam

Traditional clothes all the way

u just need to buy asian woman mag to see how cool they are

but non traditional outside the home

Whys dat Mr Admin?

guys shud wear asian clothes from time to time

IMO they suit all black shalwar kameez

Got nothing against them, but its easier to slip into western clothes in the morning even before the brain has fully woken up.

I do my ironing last minutes.

They takes ages to iron.

I usually tend to wear shalwaar kameez. I am not into glittery or flashy clothes, or ones that are brighly coloured. And I'd never wear a sari!
