Why do YOU keep a beard?

Beards is important, i personally put it in the same bracket as hijab, even though i been told not too.

I actually been meaning to grows mine longer, but as soon as i get too grade 8, i always bring it back to grade 2-3. I don't know why, probably intention isn't pure yet, but one day will definitely have the fist lenght. My mate always telling me of all the merits of having a beard, like strong jawline etc. But the things that appeal to me, is the fact that it give me a indentity of a muslims, which means that certain area are off limit too me. It like a statement to the peopel around me, so such places like going to the pub or nightclubs (which i never done anyway) are not accessable to me anymore. It makes people think differently of you, which is a good thing as it give me more incentive to act islamic as i feel like i representing islam.

It IS just as important.

Hijab involves covering the body. That is more important than a beard.

However, the covering of a hair for a woman is not more important than the having of a beard for men.

They have both been ordered by Ahadith. Each is very important.

however if you do one, you cannot do the other... so there is no real comparison.

Question to all the guys with beards, why do u keep them?

Beards never really suited me for some reason.

So i tend to mostly go for the rough look... not completely shaved off... and not enough to really call it a beard.

I always get mine trimmed to 1.5 whenever I have a haircut. But the moustache is the difficult bit. I don't want it to be getting too big, but then I can't trim it myself because I mess it up.

That guy demonstrates the cool-ness of the beard.

I keep a beard because it was about time I kept a proper beard instead of just not shaving for weeks.

Don't think I'd shave it off, just trim it.
