Assalamu-Alaikum broz n sistaz
On sunday i went to the global peace n unity conference
n overall i had a gud tym n refrained myself from doin things which i was asked of,
but near the end wen i had nothin 2 do n somethin came up my mind went blank n i did somethin which I wernt supposed to do.
Whilst i was committing this wrong thing i knew deep down that its not right yet i didn have the strenght to move myself away.
My inner faith felt so weak n i felt as if someone had taken my heart out and locked it up in a small box.
I have prayed for forgiveness but still dnt feel better coz everythin i do seems weak even my prayers.
I am lacking in doin right from wrong n some ppl think that its due to the ppl i hang around with.
So does that mean that i need to change my friendship groups n see what happens.
Plz plz give me some advice i am in desperate need.
May Allah reward you for any advice you give.

Well if you did something that you know was wrong (whatever it was)...you feel regretful, wish that you didnt do it and have done Tobah...then you inshallah should be forgiven.
Iman is like a yo yo...sometimes we feel high and sometimes we feel low.
Sins decrease our level of Iman whilst good deeds increase it.
Friends of course play a huge part in ones life...they can lead you astray or can guide you.
We're only human, prone to making mistakes...as long as you realise the errors of your ways, feels guilty, do Tobah etc...you shoud be fine.
Is something else bothering you?

I dont think he should have deleted it cuz i repled to 100man's post which meant mine was deleted too, but 100man was goin on bout how the sis who started this thread was whinging that was what he kept sayin, it was mean but i dont knw why it was deleted.

but re: Rubz, she's got a genuine concern, and its good that she's recognised a problem in her practice of Islam instead of ignoring it. she's just trying to improve herself, isnt that a good thing?

😃 Fair enough, maybe I'll stay out of it. My thinking was that telling people how lame she's been and asking for help isn't the same as just acknowledging a slip-up and it doesn't help to get melodramatic. If you're really cool about it you can ask for help and do what you do, but the first advice to a flustered person is to quit being flustered, a flustered person is such a drain on everyone.

The fact that you know what your doin is wrong and your askin for forgiveness shows your a step-ahead. The best thing to do is reflect on your actions, why you are doin it and what benefits your are getin from them.
Also pray to Allah (swt) to give you strength in pleasing Him and the Holy Prophet (saw).
