hmmm....well as far as i was concerned u aint allowed to cut but trim nor more tha 2cm...but for some reason i doubt and you should leave what you doubt upon...

clearly major ikhtilaafs on this issue.

when u quoted it the first time, u said ud find the actual reference, please provide it (i.e. which Book of Ahadith, Volume, Hadith no. etc). (as i assume Ghuniyat-ut-Taulibeen is not an actual compilation of Ahadith).

You are entitle to your opinion.

This Hadeeth was present in the section with reference to shi'tes.

The Translation of the hadeeth may be slightly different into english, the gist is the same.

But as stated before, everyone can make up their own minds. I merely backed up the view of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah.

I totally agree. One can never be too cautious in this regard. Beast, why dont u go and ask a 'legit' scholar about this aswell and come back and tell us what he said?

You shouldnt try to caste doubt on what I wrote or try to give the benefit of doubt to shias cos u think I might have tweaked some of the info. It may be that the 'legit' scholar says exact same thing as me and then u wud have to be forced to accept that shi'tes really are as despicable and low as i say.

You are beyond deserving of the benefit of the doubt as far as I am concerened.

I am not saying that [i]you[/i] tweaked the info. But the publisher of the translation that you speak of may very well have done.

If I ever decide to read that particluar book then I will ask a scholar that I trust.

lol. Whats that first line meant to mean? Have I been found to lie about Quran and Ahadeeth? Just because im not a bid'atee you're prejudiced, but thats life.

Surely the issue of shi'tes is an important one? Dont you think you should find out the truth about them, rather than just being not bothered. Remember our deen is based on the Sahabah Karaam, if they are attacked it is without doubt an attack on islam.

See I really cannot understand this lack of interest in muslims. If I were to start swearing at anyone here or abusing their mothers, or wives. Lol, people here cant take when I say certain ppl are innovators, their blood no doubt begins to boil. Yet when I tell you a group of people out there abuse the Sahabah Karaam with the most dirtiest of swears, no1 cares. ALL they say is If it comes across in my studies I will ask about it.

These are issue of major importance.

The best mode I can say is to everyone here go and search and study yourselves about the true beliefs of ithna ashariyyah. If they are not as I say, then good for you but if they are the snakes I say they are then it would be better to be aware of their kufr.

i have done extensive research on this topic, asked many scholars, and come to the conclusion that there is no such 'evidence' in the Ahadith to class cutting of hair 'haraam'.

its mostly scholars from the Indian subcontinent who hold this view, and noone has ever come back to me with a hadith when i requested the 'evidence'...

I am sorry Aasiyah, I rely on the opinon of the ulama, even if its just the indopak ones. There are two booklets available on Themajlis.net about this issue. Hadrat Mawlana has answered all objections and queries in them most forcefully. Gimme a few mins to get the link.

The two books regarding the hair of women are present above, also book on women and masaajid for those who are interested.

Not really a good start, as all it is isa personal attack on someone who said cutting hair is allowed.

Lets hope the book is better.

from my answer you are right in thinking that that is all i know. It is not necessary that the ulama know of every single hadeeth, so expecting it to take some time to ascertain the background is not asking much i think.

It should be noted that the hadeeth was quoted by Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani alayhi rahmah.

lol the ring was nearly as expensive as one of my cars, it's basically a blue diamond in platinum and white gold with 6 paler blue diamonds of descending and hue size to brace it - the blue one is the centerpiece. It took my jeweler in Manhattan a good 5 months to work it out.

Even if some of what you say is correct I will not begin to form an opinion on it solely on the basis of what you have said.
