what do you think the guy shud do if he wants toa sk for her, but the girls says there is no point cos her parents have already arranged for her to marry som1 else? She is CERTAIN that they gonna say no, and its all gonna be a waste of time, what shud the guy do then?
OKkkaaayyyy
Two things: FYI im a guy... should hav figoured that out when i was on the radio.... heck you should knw that by now... silly rabbit.
In regards to your second point. He should get his parents to ask anyway. The girls not obviously thinking straight (shes talking about running away for pete sake), he should get his parents to ask anyway coz atleast then they're trying to use the right channels.
I've said it b4 going about it the wrong way will only lead to it blowing up in their faces.
sorry sis, lol i mean bro. I hardly ever listen to radio, so I dnt knw who u r.
but im on abt a different case. In this 1 the girl aint thinking of running off, she aint like that. shud the geeza go with his parents even tho she says that her parents are gonna sy no. That wud be a big insult on the guys parents, the guy wudnt like his parents to be shamed like that, espeically bcos of him.

If he truely wants to do this the right way then he's gonna have to learn to put his pride aside and do the right thing. Parents are willing to do anything for their kids and would most def give their kids choice some consideration.
No one wants their parents to be shamed like that. But like i said follow propper ettiquite and all will be well. Make sure you ring before going. DO NOT turn up unannounced... common curtousey goes a long way

cant you both pick the same person?

Running away is an act of desperation for those who do not see any other way. Sometimes it takes a calm objective mind to see another path... which is why i've said tell your parents how you feel. No matter how backwards or desi they maybe they will not ignore this as they want whats best for their children.
I've also said before love is not about possessing the person whom you love. Ideally this would be best possible outcome. However just bcoz you love them unconditionally doesnt mean they will love you unconditionally. To truly love you love without expecting anything in return... you love them with their best interests at heart. If that means letting them go will make them happy then why should you be so selfish?

my mates parents aint backward like that, they made it pretty clear that they aint gonna force the guy to get married to any1. But I also understand hayders point.
How can the guy risk his parents to be insulted for his own happiness? My mates the second born son innit, and when his older bro wanted to ask for som1s rishta the dad goes that he aint going until he know for definite that the girls family gonna say yes. so the mom went and dad didnt, basically my mate feels that if his dad didnt risk being shamed for the oldest born, then how can he, the 2nd born, put his dad and mom in such a situation?

I think its because the pakistani punjabi army acted like savages on the muslims of east pakistan. Maybe its cos the pakistanis raped, massacred, looted the muslims of bangladehs under the orders of the shia butchers of balouch.
Maybe its cos the pakistanis treated the east pakistanis the way the hindus treat the muslims of kashmir, perhaps its the fact that the pak army rounded up bengali women and raped them like animals?
I aint a bengali, i am pakistani/kashmiri but the pak army have a lot to answer for. I dont blame bengalis for hating pakis.
