D750i Sony Ericson

I don't really care about my text messages or phone book...Its just my pictures etc that I don't want just anyone to see.

Its annoying but when you have your phone lying around the first thing people do is pick it up and start to go through it...

Sirus — Sat, 10 Dec 2005 - 12:43

sony ericcsons......i dont think you put a seperate lock on for pictures and stuff with them, i know samsung defo do

phone lock would be your best bet......but i think only nokia do that, and a few other fones :?

MuslimSister — Sat, 10 Dec 2005 - 12:45

How annoying... :?

I suppose I should just transfer all my pictures and video's onto my computer and delete all the stuff from my phone.

Sirus — Sat, 10 Dec 2005 - 12:50

that would be a much better idea, you can even hide them on the computer!!

im afraid thats sony ericcsons for ya, too simple phones IMO

had 3 already, im done with them

MuslimSister — Sat, 10 Dec 2005 - 12:56

I had a Nokia phone all my life. Only recently I changed...I kinda reget it.

I don't need any privacy on my home computer...its only family who uses this computer.

But I'll see what Admin has to say as well. He also is a phone wizz.

I hate when people do that as well, but at the same time it something i am guilty of as well. Too be honest i only got pic of my nephew and some event i been to, normally my mobile lying underneath my bed or something, I rarely have it on me.
Does anyone know how to "lock" a mobile?

Basically, password protect all the pictures and video films? Is that even possible?
I hate passwords of all kind.

I never password protect if I can avoid it.

However there is a utility.

Type this link into your wap on the mobile

http://www.ixalon.net/FileProtect.jad

follow the instructions from here: http://www.ixalon.net/

It should work. (you will need to give the midlet read/write access, so make sure you backup first...)

Sirus — Sat, 10 Dec 2005 - 15:19

clever thinking Admin

but that wouldnt work on a samsung d500 would it?

if only all phones had Symbian OS

Sirus — Sat, 10 Dec 2005 - 15:20

I still dont get it-

its me that'll have to do it

how to u transfer a file to the phone?

Sirus — Sat, 10 Dec 2005 - 15:23

you have a data cable?

or anything you use to transfer files inbetween pc and phone?

seriously....no wap on her phone :?

You — Sat, 10 Dec 2005 - 15:30

Its a java midlet, not symbian.

If the D500 supports the JSR-75 protocol, it will work. No idea if it does though.

Does MS not have wap access on her mobile? even on paygo most providers give some downloads...

otherwise she may have to tranfer it from pc to phone... that may be harder... I have read u on people having trouble doing it this way...

You — Sat, 10 Dec 2005 - 15:33
what is Wap?

Internet acess?

Yeah she does have that. On a pay as u go phone how long will that take?
wap is uber cwap internet access. it is text only... should only take a few seconds.

Let me guess. You have recently come into possession of such a device that you need to offload without gaining suspicion?

FedEx will not help you!
