Punishments
Salaam brothers and sisiters i would just like to share the following
ASSALAM-O-ALaIKUM,
I pray that may you will be fine by the grace of Allah Almighty...
Sayings of PROPHET MUHAMMAD(Sallah-o-Aliah-e-wa-Alayhi Wa'saalim)
The one who disdains the prayers will receive Fifteen punishments from
Allah.
Six punishments in this lifetime,
three while dying,
three in the grave &
three on the Day of Judgment.
THE SIX PUNISHMENTS OF LIFE:
1. Allah takes away blessings from his age (makes his life misfortunate)
2.Allah does not accept his plea (Dua's)
3.Allah erases the features of good people from his face.
4.He will be detested by all creatures on earth.
5.Allah does not award him for his good deeds. (No thawab)
6.He will not be included in the Dua's of good people.
THE THREE PUNISHMENTS WHILE DYING:
1. He dies humiliated.
2. He dies hungry.
3. He dies thirsty. Even if he drinks the water of all seas he will still
be thirsty.
THE THREE PUNISHMENTS IN THE GRAVE:
1. Allah tightens his grave until his chest ribs come over each other.
2. Allah pours on him fire with embers.
3. Allah sets on him a snake called "the brave", "the bold" which hits Him
from morning until afternoon for leaving Fajr prayer, from the afternoon
until Asr for leaving Dhuhr prayer and so on. With each strike he sinks 70
yards under the ground.
THE THREE PUNISHMENTS ON THE DAY OF JUDGMENT:
1. Allah sends who would accompany him to hell pulling him on the face.
2. Allah gives him an angry look that makes the flesh of his face fall down.
3. Allah judges him strictly and orders him to be thrown in hell.
May Allah give guidance to all of us.
AAMEEN!!!!!!!
----------------------------------------------
THOSE WHO DO NOT SAY THEIR PRAYERS OF:
FAJAR: the glow of their face is taken away.
ZOHAR: the blessing of their income is taken away.
ASAR: the strength of their body is taken away.
MAGHRIB: they are not benefacted by their children.
ISHA: the peace of their sleep is taken away.

I was taught to love Allah (swt) and focus on His Mercy more then His wrath.
Allah (swt) has even said “My Mercy overcomes My wrath”.
Whenever my mosques teachers tried to “scare” me into practising Islam I would run a mile and would be more likely to NOT do it…
If an act is associated with a negative emotion a child is less likely to do it.
Focusing on the love and mercy of Allah (swt) also worked with my little sister who at the age of 6 is a regular hijaabi…
There was this Awliya (I can't remember his name)...but his mum used to put a sweet under his prayer mat. I can see myself doing stuff like that to my kids.
Focusing too much on the “punishments” side of Islam puts people off Islam.

lol yea... when I was a little kid this was the God I was taught:

That's all well and good for some people but I think the better servant is the one that does things because God wants it and they want to make him happy.
Not because they are afraid he will send a big black ghoul with big red eyes to freak you out at night.
That's like my idea of heaven is just being in a place close to God so you can serve him... because you want to serve him.
I think it basically comes down to what you want... if you want to serve him but go astray I think he will probably extend his mercy to you. If you are just not interested in serving this "God guy" and go astray he is going to punish you.

There is this weird sect called "Geo-logists" who have this screwed up idea about plates shifting and built up pressures and some nonsense about fault lines
Yea... the world is built on a kitchen table.
Plates.

good point
it all comes down to ur intention at the end of the day
it is said that God loves us 70 times MORE then a mother loves her child
how can we be scared of such a Being?
Punishments
because hate is not the opposite of love?
because hate is not the opposite of love?
The opposite of love or hate is indifference.
Punishments
exactly.
If someone loves you, the disapointment when you fail is even greater.
Punishments
i dont like people who scare others about Islam
i hevent ever been told the details of hell and the punishment
its tru that a person is more likley to listen to someone if they love them-more then if they were scared of them
Punishments
I actually read up on the punishments but never got very far cuz it was to scary....i hate it at night cuz i think of death an being in the grave alone, its gets very scary and the fact you can die anytime is very freaky.

I don't presume to know what God needs... but I definitely know that the purpose of the angels is to serve and worship God, and that in revelations the ones who are taken up to heaven are there in his company to worship him.
That's what the text says.
It's not some mundane cartoonish world where you eat cake all day and watch birds chirp.
That's stick and carrot religion.
Just being in his presence makes heaven worthwhile.

I dont know what irans theory is about tthat earthquake but your comments suggest that if you say others are being punished by God, you imply that you yourselves are not being punished by God.
There as a country and a government that existed not too long ago that would say that any evil that befalls us and our our country is becuase of oursins. Infact a terrible earthquake came to that country and they said it was becuase the people were not establishing their prayers in the correct way and the famine was becuase of people turning away from God. This was in a theocracy.,

Actually I was saying they callously tell their enemies that natural reoccuring disasters are signs from God that their enemies are evil, and when natural disasters happen to them they just accept it as a natural disaster.
I have about as much love for Iran as they have for us.
