Yep it does it make sense, thats what those silly bollywood movies promote, ppl just wana be in love for the sake of it, its like a fashion thing, must have!
Salma, I can assure you I have experienced the love of my family. I have also experienced the love of others. So I know it is real, and I know how to give it. It starts with seeing the best in people, and acknowledging what you can offer. Where you are living is not a world without love, but a place in your own mind of coldness and rejection. Clearly you have experienced that. I offer my sympathies, and propose you do not spread the experience by laying it down as fact, but maybe use these forums for assistance or to tap into the realities others have experienced. Probably Eid is a good time to start getting over it. Chocolates, anyone?

Gentleness and kindness were never a part of anything except that it made it beautiful, and harshness was never a part of anything except that it made it ugly.

I personally believe that true love only incur after years of being together. I am in no doubt that I will not be in love with the woman that I marry, but she will have my respect and I would admire her. I personally believe that love only come after years of marriage and when people have experience hardship and their relationship is still strong. It about the ability of each parnter being able to cover each other fault and knowing the your partner weaknesses and still loving them for it. Baically it about companionship and you only realise that you have that after a certain period of time IMO.
i've gotta agree wiv u there. The point salma is makin i can understand. The term "love" in the 21st century is so overrated and cheesy. Nowadays most people say they love somebody but you ask them how an what love is an they cant tell you. They've seen the bolly movies and thik if they tell a girl they love her she'l fall into his arms (which is so true coz i seen it happen so many tyms, but the wise gals know better). Love does exist but like yuit made the point it only really happens when you been wiv somebody a long tym and know them inside out and you accept them for who they are and not try to them.
Salma, I'm TELLING you, you have no idea. Only your own experiences. And what you don't know, is you obviously don't know the first thing about love and never did. Now please shut it before another idiot like Naz comes along believing you and I get angry.

OK, I won't get angry. I'll just be here, knowing that what love there is, is basically your choice, to receive and to give, and that some people who got stung - and we all did - want to be bitter and twisted about it. If anyone wants to put me to the test they can PM me. Maybe it's nothing very serious, maybe something incredibly painful. But I wouldn't wish that on you, or the people you know. I'm totally serious, and there's nothing hippy or wishy-washy about it. I'm a very straight-up sort of person. If love is missing and you go around saying that, people will miss out big time. There's nothing wrong with simply saying, "I got hurt" or "I screwed up" or "someone treated me pretty atrociously". If you don't agree, ya dunt na nutin. Not because I'm right, or because you're wrong, but because that's the way it is.

Because that's how much love I got, Salma, and you're being a sourpuss. What you're calling 'soppy love' is just something you saw on telly. Real life is much, much better than 'soppy love'. Also, you and the people around you lose out. Do you know how much your parents love you?

These comments rubbishing love are immature and ridiculous.
The love your parents have for you is very like the love they have for each other. Maybe ask them about it.
Love?????????
hmmmm.....
something we see on tv, probably read about in books and then a few of us end up believing its real
sorry to break your hearts peeps, but it aint real, just an infatuation which we mistaken to be something more
i no its a very cynical view compared to all the people who are all 'lovey dovey' but its the brutal truth
again, thats not love your talking about
its sumat else, and somat thats a loada codswallop indeed
