My brother u can differ on any issue you like! You are entitled to hold whatever opinion you like becuase it doesnt affect me. It is good that you listen to Mawlana Ahmad Ali, Shaykh Riyadh ul haq and Hadrat Mawlana Makki.

May I also suggest Mawlana Muhammad Sindhi of Leicester?

NO , THREE TABLIGHI SCHOLARS ARE MORE THAN ENOUGH Biggrin
Ahmad Ali is good on general issues, but disagree on aqeeda
Riyad ul Haq is not a great speaker, good against HT's...but disagree on aqeeda issues
Mawlana Makki- havent heard him speak, but read several urdu books- agree on his beliefs, especially Mawlid which surprisingly his mureeds dont agree with.

You giving a very biased opinion here, just because they don't agree with certain stance that you hold dear too. But you should still show a certain amount of respect too them, no matter who given the talks and what their opinion are I will still talk about them with the respect they deserve and if I haven't got something good to say about them, I won't say nothing at all.

On the scholar u commenting on. Shaykh Ahmed Ali is probably the best scholar for the youth, his point are simple and very striaght to the point and his talk are very motivating, I have a big collection of his talks and he influence me alot when getting first into islam.

Shaykh Riyad ul Haq is another brillant speaker, I heard him in luton a little while ago and he probably gave the best speech I heard all year. He point are straight too the point and direct and certainly make u think.

What these two scholar have which many don't is the fact that they used example that the youth will understand and relate too, they used present day reality and know how to get the youth attention. Ed I know u take aqueedah really important, but sometime I get the feeling it like u supporting a footbal team, don't let your view blind you from the meit of the good work of many of these group your disapprove of.

i said i listen to them, i respect them, i have learnt from them...so of course respect is there..i was just being open on their strong and weak points. just my personal views .everyone is entitled to their views as long as they are said with respect...and i havent showed any disrespect.
Aqeeda isnt everything otherwise i wouldnt have listened to them at all if that was the case. I listen to all scholars and take the good. My only problem is that i say it how it is Smile

Hey i missed this thread!! I am lookin forward to ramadan, the atmosphere in this month is just amazin..i am lookin to change by getin fear of allah in my heart, to become i better muslim and to becom in touch with my sufi side Blum 3

Also lookin to eat/sleep/talk less, i have decided i am gona become healthy worked b4 i found a job but now i find the tendency to eat junk food when there are no calls comin thru at wrk!

Also lookin to become more actively involved and less lazy....and its nearly 1am..sleep needed!

thankyou!! finally someone has stuck to the topic.

it helps if people share thier views on Ramadan, it can benefit others

Hayder you have made over 700 posts i would think you would have known by now that no1 sticks to the topic we always go off topic...

neway bak to topic, When ppl wake up for sehri time,do u go bak to sleep or stay up and read Quran?Do you do anythin during the day or just laze bout?
What my qestion really is what is your 30 days like in ramadan? Do u follow the same routine or do u change it from time-to-time? ( ok its just hit 1am,i duno what i am talkin bout!)

Unfortunately I change as little as I possibly can.

I stay awake only if there is not enough time for a good nap.

"For too long, we have been a passively tolerant society, saying to our citizens 'as long as you obey the law, we will leave you alone'" - David Cameron, UK Prime Minister. 13 May 2015.

Sehri, read fajr and then back to bed!! no sleep can have devestating effects at uni. if it was holz, i would try to sleep as little as possible.

the day flys by....usually at uni/work and doesnt giv u much time 2 do much else. but where possible, this Ramadan i will try to read the Holy Quran, and i normally attend gatherings.

i didnt understand ur last question!!

What i meant was do u change your routine of ramadan on a daily basis or do u follow a certain schedule for the 30 days?

my TV/music gets swiched off

i also start to read my Fajr-which I dont normally

my schedule for ramadan

wake up for sehri, read salah, read quran
go work

try to get home before iftari or open it on the bus

then much up...
them maghrib and make up the ones i have missed due to work

then try to get some rest before i do some revival work....
then prepare for radio show on ramadan radio

then tarawih
then radio show for two hours

then about 1.30, 12 ish go to sleep until sehri...

so in ramadhaan i get knackered, ill abit....but love it, do loads of dawah, always try to improve on my faults, weaknesses.....

this year will be more busy as im supposed to be gpoing on several radio stations, almost some asian/islamic channels want us to do talk shows there aswell, so see what happens....
and of course have to distribute revivals in as amny mosques in ramadan at tarawihs...

sometimes i wish i had to do nothing in ramadhaan so i could just read quran, islamic books and more ibadaah.... but that never happens!

uni is going to mess up my Ramadan this yr but inshaALLAH intention is:

sehri
two paras dawr.

uni.

by the time i finish from their will be time for iftar. so then rest between maghrib and isha/taraweeh.

read taraweeh either at home or mosque depending on where my accom is and how far masjid is.

then probably 2 but atleast 1.5 para dawr again. then bed.

on weekends inshaALLAH will do more dawr but not sure how much, i think 6/7 paras over weekend should be manageable but i dnt knw cos never been to uni b4 so dont knw how times gonna work out.

Ya ALLAH Madad.
Haq Chaar Yaar

My routine is normally to get up for sehri, read some Quran till fajar then go to sleep, wake up for uni, go in2 borin lectures then head to wrk, depending when roza opens break my fast at wrk, come home have proper food then read tarabiyah and then go 2 sleep...

My aim is to read more Quran and durood sharif and listen to more lectures and read more islamic books.

lets see how this pans out.......

sehri, fajr sleep

be late for uni, sleep during lectures, read prayers at the uni mosque or at home depending where i am.

open fast, scran till im sick, chill 4 a bit......JUS A LIL ps2, as much Quran as possible, and at least one trawih this year!

log on to the revival, check skysports and then bed Biggrin
