The Blessed Month Of Shabaan

The Holy Prophet ﷺ said “Between Rajab and Ramdan is the sacred month of Shabaan, people are unmindful about it, yet the deeds of man are to be presented to Allah (swt)”

He ﷺ also said “Shabaan enjoys the superiority over the month as I have superiority over the Prophets”.

The Holy Prophet ﷺ said “Rajab is the month of Allah, Shabaan is my month and Ramadan is the month of my ummah, Shabaan removes the sins of man and Ramadan purifies him completely”.

The month of Shabaan is most definitely a blessed month; it was during this blessed month that the “Qibla” in Jerusalem was reverted back to the Ka’ba in Makkah……this took place on the 15th Shabaan.

During this month the night of “Laila-tul-Baraat” (the night of forgiveness) falls…this is on the 15th of Shabaan.

It is so important for us to appreciate, respect and value these special months.

Whilst it is true that we can seek forgiveness and pray to Allah (swt) all year round…during these blessed months we are blessed with an increase in the mercy and blessings of Allah (swt)….therefore it only makes sense to take advantage of them, for they are spiritually more important and can greatly increase the chance of our tobah (repentance) being accepted in the Court of Allah (swt).

This is also the month in which we should sort out and prepare our state of mind for Ramadan…..we can do this by increasing our Ibadah (worship) and giving up our bad habits….it also makes sense to start the Qur’an so that we can give ourselves a head start and aim to finish it in Ramadan.

Blessings are initiated in this month which progressively escalate and reach their peak by the end of Ramadan….it makes sense to take advantage of the month of Shabaan which should start mid next week.

Well the night of shab e barat is this sunday the 18th of September n we're supposed 2 fast this Monday 19th of September 2005.

i duno but u should spend most of the nite in ibdat...

u should recite this dua during Rajab & Sha'baan..

ALLAHUMA BAARIK-LANA FI RAJABA WA-SHA'BAAANA WA-BAL-LIGHNA RAMADHAANA"

"O Allah, make the months of Rajab and Sha'ban blessed for us, and let us reach the month of Ramadan (i.e. prolong our life up to Ramadan, so that we may benefit from its merits and blessings)."

Rajab is the seventh month in the Islamic lunar calendar. This month was regarded as one of the sacred months (Al-Ashhur-al-hurum) in which battles were prohibited in the days of the Prophet(sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) . It is also a prelude to the month of Ramadan, because Ramadan follows it after the intervening month of Sha'ban. Therefore, when the Holy Prophet(sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) sighted the moon of Rajab, he used to pray to Allah in the above stated words.
So therforeWe too, should take the opportunity of reading this dua, often in the months of Rajab and Sha'baan

What this and Halwa. Halwa is beautiful I love it. Why is there so much negativity about it.

u get two extremes

some who make stuff "must" when there is no basis for it

and other who have heart attacks when people do stuff (even if them people dont consider it a "must")

We are also doing the same as you guys, nice to know everyone is awake together...i duno what we gona do :? If we dont go to cuz's house to stay awake together might just stay home and read throughout the whole night inshallah.

It is better to pray on the wrong night than not at all...
