Al-Burāq, the mythological steed

Al-Burāq (Arabic: البُراق‎ al-Burāq "lightning") is a mythological steed, described as a creature from the heavens which transported the prophets. The most commonly told story is how in the 7th century, Al-Buraq carried the Islamic prophet Muhammad ﷺ from Mecca to Jerusalem and back during the Isra and Mi'raj or "Night Journey", which is the title of one of the chapters (sura), Al-Isra, of the Qur'an.

While the Buraq is almost always portrayed with a human face in far-eastern and Persian art, no Hadiths or early Islamic references allude to it having a humanoid face. This, which found its way into Indian and Persian Islamic art, may have been influenced by a misrepresentation or translation from Arabic to Persian of texts and stories describing the winged steed as a "... beautiful faced creature."

An excerpt from a translation of Sahih al-Bukhari describes Al-Buraq:

"...Then a white animal which was smaller than a mule and bigger than a donkey was brought to me." ... "The animal's step (was so wide that it) reached the farthest point within the reach of the animal's sight. ..."

let me ask you the same question. you're all about Islam is so strict blah blah and then you find the side of Islam thats a bit like a fairytale and instead of being happy with the diversity and being amazed at this amazing miracle you go and reject Islam.

what will you do when Buraq appears in front of you on judgement day? and coz of it you rejects islam?

How do I prove to you that I was a Muslim before? should I read the Attahiyat and lift my index finger?

The invasion made links and after that, through official corruption (including on the UK side - get the UK to do infrastructure projects and it will give visas to the displaced etc), it allowed people here to do the jobs that the at the time locals didnt want to do.

Democracy is not haram. You don't seem to realise that these so-called 'Islamic' countries aren't actually following Islamic rules properly. They just say they are and that stops people from rebelling (most of the time)

Bangladesh is a democracy. Turkey is a democracy.

India has one of the largest muslim populations in the world (though it is not a majority muslim) - also a democracy.
