Re: Advice needed, please(Weddings) (image)
Ya, reveal it all on your wedding day.
That is the day that everyones eyes - or probably the most at amy one time - and you're losing all the basics of Islam ?.
Or is that for what you'll wear for your husband after the wedding ?
Re: Advice needed, please(Weddings) (image)
Cos He's using Islamic logic ?.
This site is a little lost. Surely if its aim is to be a 'revivalist' Islamic 'blog'/dunno what then it should adhere to Islamic Adhab ?.
Seems to have become a desi chat forum recently, with the token 'Masha'Allah' thrown in.
p.s the mag's great but this site is a poor reflection. Most good mags rarely have an open forum, and this should follow suit.

The forum does not necessarily reflect the views of the magazine (team). It gives a chance for the youth to actually have their say and learn from each other.
Re: Advice needed, please(Weddings) (image)
and the need for semi-naked pictures ?. Surely whoever runs the forum should intervene.
Re: Advice needed, please(Weddings) (image)

Re: Advice needed, please(Weddings) (image)
Its an option.
Some are for it, others against.
The for segregation side think women since not in the company of men can dress up without fear of being seen by strange men.
The against side want to sit with their family.
I cna see both sides to the argument, however I do think while I am more comfortable in a segregated setting, overall this may be damaging to the community as a whole.
Re: Advice needed, please(Weddings) (image)
from just these....option A is kool

How many segregated weddings have you attended?!
I *have to* go to a lot of weddings, and only one was segregated, and that was 'his' someone's...
...
I agree, but it's not like guys stare at girls. I mean, we're all family and friends, that type of thing won't go on. Guys are pretty decent. You don't see them eyeing girls up....."strange men" ...lol...
Ooooh, except in Afg, that was so bloody degrading!
...
Usually when I walk, I look up and walk, but once in Afg this guy grabbed at my leg , After that I've never looked up and walked.Gaze is always lowered.
And, (some) afg people have absolutely no respect for relationships either. Seriously, they would even try hitting it off with their 1st cousins if they could!
... ok, calm.
One minute....does that mean in Pakistan, it will be segregated??????????
!
They'll come to Arabia/Egypt, and see that it's not!
Panic!
It's tradition, it shouldn't change for anyone, right?

My choice, too.
Anywhom, what about the veil????
No'one has told me about that?
PS- You back from Pakistan now?

Yes, but freemixing with non-mahram would be harom, wouldn't it?
Everyone will be mahram of each other at the wedding. Plus, you want family to be there!
'ashamed of?' :S
How many segregated weddings have you attended?!
I don't like going weddings but the ones I've been to, nearly all of them have been segregated.

Are you kidding me. Even when the wedding is segregated, the boys will stand around the female entrance and some will even try and go in.

I personally would prefer a segregated environment, but oyhers wouldn't. Though, i hate the dancing! get a partner, wth! probably why people prefer segregated.
So is this what happens in Pakistan then? Segregation?
Re: Advice needed, please(Weddings) (image)

I've never been to an asian wedding where they've "picked a partner" and danced.
Not all asian weddings are segregated, depends on the family. Why don't you just ask your fiance whats gna happen at the wedding?
I kinda like the first one, why not? Too open? Yeah you right.
Between A & B, I'll take B hands down. Don't forget to send a pic after you've tried it on.
Actually they all nice, I mean the Ahmmm, models.
