for all you blind people like myself
Quote:
Below I have stated 2 ahadith in reference to the improving of the sight:
1) Jami’ Tirmidhi, Abwaab Adda’waat, Hadith 1407:
Narrated by Hz Aisha (ra): The Prophet used to make this dua:
ALLAHUMMA AAFINEE FI JASADEE WA AAFINEE FI BASAREE WAJ AL HUL WAARITHA MINNEE LAA ILAAHA ILALAAHUL ALEEM-UL- KAREEMU SUBHAANALLAHI RABBIL ARSHIL AZEEM WAL HAMDU LILLAHI RABBIL AALAMEEN
O Allah! Grant the whole of my body good health especially my eyes and keep it in a good state for me. There is no God except Allah and he is the All-knower and Al-Kareem, the Lord of the great throne, and all praise to Allah, the owner of all the worlds.
2) Jami’ Tirmidhi, Abwaab Adda’waat, Hadith 1504:
Narrated by Hz Uthman bin Hanif (ra):
A blind man came to the Prophet and said pray to Allah that he cures me (returns my sight). The prophet said if you want I shall pray for you and if you want to do sabr that will be better for you.
The narrator says that the prophet instructed him to perform complete ablution and then recite the following prayer:
ALLAHUMMA INNEE AS’ALUKA WA ATAWAJJAHU ILAYKA BI NABIYYIKA MUHAMMADIN NABIYYIRAHMAH INNEE TAWAJJAHTU BIKA ILAA RABBEE FI HAAJATEE HAZIHEE LATUQDHAA LEE ALLAHUMMA FA SHAFFI’HU FIYYA
O Allah! I turn to you with the waseela of your merciful Prophet Muhammad (saw). O Messenger of Allah! I turn to my Lord regarding my wish with your great waseela so that it may be fulfilled. O Allah! Accept the prophet (saw)’s intercession in this matter of mine.
(The above duas will Inshallah help one who desires for the sight to be improved)

After this week I'm taking a leave of absence for a few weeks. I like this community very much but I often don't have much to say which is as things should be, new members are breathing new life into the place, and anyway it's one of my diversions when I should be doing other things. I do though want to catch the radio show at some point over the next few days.
Which is partly by way of leading in to ask who I am not on good terms with. Have I been unjust to anyone and failed to apologise properly? Please speak now if I am not forgiven so that I can learn and apologise or respond in good faith and leave you a bit happier. If it sounds like a thoroughly vague sort of precursor to an apology that's because I don't think there's been any bad vibes, but I'm open to correction.
It's that time of year when I do my best to banish a few demons. Some are quite recent - I started smoking again over the last couple of weeks. That has to stop (as of Wednesday, after I wind it down. I will). I've stopped exercising. I broke a rule about my diet. In my private life I'm disorganised and messy. I've been getting on with other things which are to my credit, but they don't excuse these broken promises. I tell you these bizarre snippets of information because I've been so quiet, and for the last couple of weeks that's a psychological thing for which my apologies. Prior to that I was in Israel for a couple of months trying either to make my relationship a success or to end it amicably, which is what I did. Prior to that I was too flushed with romance for mucking about on computers. So that's basically where I've been. I've missed out a lot of the good stuff but this isn't my final post.

took me over a day to remember it!
I *knew* there was one for feeling better than others, and another for feeling worse, but also had a mental block.
and if you do plan to stay away, enjoy the downtime.
I must say the time I spent away from here did me a world of good.

I can understand what he means about having nothing to say, that's why i haven't frequented this place for a while. Plus it feels like all my views are against the masses here so, it's like world war 3 whenever i open my mouth...

Isn't it good that you're views are not the same as other people, doesn't that give you MORE reason to make them heard. Theres no point having a forum in which everyone rights 'Good point', 'I agree', 'couldn't of put it better myself' etc.
Anyway, I'm glad Joie has shown his face (well, a photo of a duckling but it'll have to do), there is something very unique about this forum, which I only notice on a few other forums. I don't quite know what it is yet.
The Totally Unrelated Challange
Everyone now has to correct the mistakes from my above post. I have no real reason to do this, other than I start my new job in a couple of days and am practising the preparation of homework. You get 1 point per mistake that you highlight, and two points if I hadn't put it in deliberately. The winner will be decided by an independent commission called T.E.R.R.A.C.O.T.T.A. (The Embassy for Real Research in Analysis, Correction, Opinion, Taking Tests and Accuracy).
The prize is a signed DVD boxed set of 'High School Musical 4: The College Years' when* it gets released.
Thank you, and get correcting!

Assalamu alaikum (may peace be upon you),
I am flying to Syria tomorrow morning in a bid to learn the beautiful Arabic language. I shall also try teaching English as much as possible, to prepare me for a career in primary school teaching when I return next year (well, three years studying and then a career, but you get the idea).
I won't be coming on this jolly-old forum very often, probably just to continue my involvement with the Revival Magazine and to occasionally argue with people when I want to let of a little steam (since it's online, I guess it would be E-steam, but I've always had high self-esteem and that probably won't change very soon). OK, I have realised this is now an increasingly rambling and muddled post, so I shall stop before I confuse you all (other than Seraphim, he is never easily confused).
All that is left to say is thank you to everyone for all the entertainment you have given me, sorry for any offence I have caused (unless you were getting too big for your boots or arrogant in which case the offence made you more humble so Alhamdulillah for that). Please forgive me if I have honestly overstepped the mark, and please everyone make du'aa for me (whether you are male or female!) that I am successful in the Dunya (this life) and in the Akhira (the life to come). My aim is that at this time next year:
a) I am relatively proficient in Arabic and more knowledgeable about Islam.
b) I am in the process of completing a successful month of Ramadan and am a better Muslim than I am now.
c) I have got married earlier in the summer and have returned from a wonderful honeymoon.
d) I am just about to start a BEd (Bachelor of Education) at a good teaching college.
e) I have broader shoulders.
For all that to happen I shall need a lot of help from Allah (swt), so please please make du'aa for me, especially if any of you are visiting the Holy City of Makkah in the next 12 months. All I can offer you in return is gratitude and du'aa. Jazak'Allahu Khairun (May Allah (swt) reward you with good). Ameen!
Wa alaikum salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu (and upon you may there be peace, mercy and blessings).
