the n-word was a derogatory word used by the colonial powers to name its African slaves, a derogatory word which actually means sub class, scum and pretty much the worst word in the vocabulary to describe a human however the Afro-American population started using it within themselves as a sort of siege mentality in the context of' hey we are proud people and you wont break us' type of thing. Even today the rappers and highly successful afro-americans use the term as a form of 'Brotherhood' with their fellow people who have ancestors from Africa. I think it was Malcom X or Muhammad Ali ( Cant remember who exactly tbh) who so cleverly used the word against the people who used it as a form of abuse.

The word 'Paki' however is derived from the Land the people hail from - as the immigrants in the mid 19th century did having come over from Pakistan ( Pak/Paak = Pure/ Stan=Land). The racist culture of britain at the time used 'Paki' as a racist slant, ignorantly taking away any translatory meaning it may have ( Paak is an arabic word meaning Purity or Clean) and had started labeling all people from the Indian Sub Continent with this name. Nowadays many people in britain who have ancestoral roots from Pakistan also use the word 'Paki' to describe one another and in the context of the word it is perfectly viable. If people who hail from Afghanistan are deemed Afghan's or from Uzbekistan as Uzbek's - there is really no academic rule in not calling people from Pakistan Paki's however the racist connotations that it has in britain suddenly make it a very rude word when in actual fact it is perfectly viable.

One thing, Paak doesn't mean pure in Arabic! If it did it would be Baak. You know, barking outside my house. Tahir means pure not Baak or Paak.
Afghans, Uzbeks, Brits and Aussies are not offensive, because hardly anyone takes offfence about them. But we all know that some Pakistanis would be offended if someone called them Paki. At least admit that SOME would.

There are many countries that use Stan and it is a Persian word hence alot of Asian countries use it - wiki agrees 😉
