Girl Talk!

MuslimSisLilSis

This is a girly thread for girly talk...if ur a girly boy then u may post here.

Someone mentioned to me that jeans are "haraam" cos it is copying Kufaar and also cos boys wear jeans and girls are not supposed to dress like boys

But jeans are unisex-arent they?

Like socks, girls AND boys wear them

Another Q how much would u pay for the shoes below? Would u pay more then £30?

lol thanx Dave.

MuslimSister — Mon, 30 Jan 2006 - 10:18

I had a week of sleeeping really really late, running around all day long coming home late and walking up extremely early.

This week I’m going to try and go sleep really early (10-11) and wake up kinda late-ish (9-10) and stay at home ALL week and just revise for my maths test this Friday….

(I often do …if I’ve haven’t eaten properly for two days cos of commitments, I spend the following two days making up for what I’ve missed…)

I was silly enough to wear heels last week…and I think I’ve sprained my right ankle too. I’m crazy about heels…but they’re not something that one should wear when they’re running late for something or walking a lot.

Practicality should go over beauty...I often ignore that. :?

i havent yet got my nose pierced ...im totally scared what if it swells up bad, and another thing i heard you have to wear these big ugly ones at first.

How do the nose studs fall out ?, dont they have them clip thingies on the inside.

some ppl's do get infected-just like how some people's ear piercing gets infected

if it swells up just let it close-

i think i got mine pierced around twice

and u dont have to wear the big ugly ones first-depends where u get it pierced

i got mine done n karachi years ago-so none of my friends were there to see me wear the ugly one for a few days

nose studs fall out cos they have no backing-the fat ones do

tiny nose studs just have a thin wire at the back-so it falls out if u sneeze :?

LilSis......how severe is the pain ? You have your top ear pierced aswell. Does it hurt more than that ?

coz if it does i dont see i can do it.

i had my top ear done years ago-IMO that hurt less then getting the actual ear pierced

but it takes longer to heal-but as long as u keep it clean its all good

BUT

i found the nose piercing my most stressful piercing EVER man the pain was out of this world

it remained sore for a very VERY long time-

what hurt was when I woud change the stud-

but overall-i find the nose piercing very VERY pretty

thats why i consider it well worth the pain-

geting it peirced dot hurt-but its when u change the nose stud in the first few weeks of getting it pierced

safest way is to keep in ur first stud for at least 6weeks

the things a gal does for the sake of a teeny weeny diamonte stud which ucan hardly see

flower — Mon, 30 Jan 2006 - 15:55

This is spooky,

Ive jus got my nose peirced abt half hour ago and thought i will come an post something on it,

hehe for one im glad that i didnt read this before i went coz i would have otherwise NEVER have got it peirced

It didnt hurt

the lady leaned over the counter, placed a mark and then got the peircer thingy out, i panicked coz i was so scared

It pricked, thats it, it pricked and then there was pain for about two mins and water was just coming out of my eyes

its kinda sore now....i dont wana touch it coz i know its gona be painful,

I have a medium sort of stud in my nose, its not that ugly but its not really the prettiest

Naj, it doesnt hurt honest, its a bit sore after but when you actually get it done it only pricks

Lilsis, how do i look after it? i mean to avoid infections and to make sure it doesnt go stiff or nethin?

Dave — Mon, 30 Jan 2006 - 16:17

Why do women get their noses pierced?

I never really understood that... it's not very attractive and it's kinda distracting.

Big these days though - the new in thing

yashmaki — Mon, 30 Jan 2006 - 16:28

a lot of indopak women do cultural thing, but nowadays it's "fashionable". It's cultural norm in parts of africa and middleast too.

Can look nice on some folks, i'm not mad about it either. doesn't mucus come out the hole sometimes, jokes aside i'm being serious lol. You know like if you sneeze severely, now don't attack me lilsis loool

Strider — Mon, 30 Jan 2006 - 17:39

personally i dont like nose pierces..

when i got the top ear done it killed.....it hurt for so so long that i proper regret having it done. Now its healed and about time. I think it hurts more than getting the actual ear pierced.I got two holes in each ear and one at top, i think thats enuf piercings.

the actual piercing never hurts-its the healing process that is painful

clean it daily-(either with solution or salt n water)

twist it round a few times a day (like u do with ear piercings)

DONT CHANGE THE STUD-until at least six weeks

^^thats the cause of most infections

and no- mucus dont come out of it

tis more of a fashion thing then a cultural thing

nose studs suits most girls-unless her nose is massive

but big ugly nose studs dont suit anyone

and its not "distrcating" u can hardly see it most of the time

I had my nose pierced 2 years ago!
From the Jewellers!!

It did hurt for a 2-3 days but was ok after that!!

fizzy1 — Tue, 31 Jan 2006 - 21:19

i had my nose pierced for my 18th bday

it hurt so much and never healed properly

had to take it out

when you got it done, did you put a real good stud in??? i think this may have made a diff to mine if i did that, wd have helped it heal quicker

first stud makes all the diff

it has to gold and u HAVE to keep it in for at least 6 weeks

if u dont-thats when problems start

I dont know if mines is gold, coz i mean its gold in appearance but it could be only gold plated and i only paid £2.50 for it :?

I twist my nose stud quite often in the day but i dont clean it with any solution just cotton pad and water but ive been told by the aunties to do a few things such as:

1. The steam from cooking a curry
2. Rub your own saliva on it first thing in the morning

do you reckon any of them will work for the healing process, its not that sore anymore but i forget that its there and sometimes rub at it, thats when its painful 🙁

Mez — Wed, 1 Feb 2006 - 15:06

Flower try a tiny bit of aftershave to heal it!

I used it when my elder brother hit his elbow on my nose stud and went in, it was sore for a few days but each day I cleaned it with aftershave and it went ok but it does sting for a while but you have to get used to it.

ps. I know it might sound a bit weird but hye it worked!! 😃

thats olds wives tales-ive heard all sorts

the more u do stuff to it the more chances of it getting infected

just clean it daily with salt n water

it'll be sore for a very long time-the healing process just happens to be long with nose piercings

just keep it clean and it shud heal properly

The only headache I have with nose studs is losing them.

I got my nose pierced in high school and I used to wear backless studs….cos at that time I needed something that I could pull out quickly when teachers came to do uniform checks. :?

It’s not unusual for me to open the light in the middle of the night and search my bed for a microscopic nose stud.

I was looking for my nose stud this morning too…it’s always wise to have a few handy.

Just don’t touch it with dirty hands when you first get it pierced…but the healing process does take ages.
