The Lover is ever drunk with love;
He is free, he is mad,
He dances with ecstasy and delight.

Caught by our own thoughts,
We worry about every little thing,
But once we get drunk on that love,
Whatever will be, will be.

a little do you do this martial art?

no, my 15 yr old brother does

hes had about 10 lessons, is very good at it, and watches a lot of videos

i was wondering, would you reccommend it?

is it based on more force rather than discipline?

thai boxing is ok it produces fast results and is very effective however i feel that aside from the discipline of training it is not as rich as other arts when it comes to mind and body development. other disciplines relating to the the internal development found in chinese martial arts are indeed deeper.
once you age in thai boxing your ability diminishes. however as you age in a solid martial art that does internal and external training combined then as you mature you develop. it is good to practise but there is a limit to what you will learn. very effective though for some but not a martial art to mature into.
thai boxing uses force and body mechanics to make certain strikes effective. there are soft an hard martial arts this is a hard martial art like karate. a good martial art combines the two.
hope this answers your question?

What would you reccomend to a fat guy with no agility and less stamina?

salams admin, i agree with other brothers cycling and eating less food is good. if you train in a physically dmanding martial art or fitness program and wtch your intake of certain foods then inshAllah you will lose weight quickly. ability can be developed with good instruction and determination to be good at that particular thing. afterall learning to walk is something that we learned to do we tried and strengthened our leg muscles etc and eventually we learned the skill of walking.
Inshallah with determination any skill ability can be learned those who are good at martial art etc put in hours and hours of hard work.
kung fu translates as hard work=skill develoed with hard work!

come to my school and do cross country for me

Character is like a tree and reputation like its shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing.

There was this famous Chinese’s Muslim, a brother who was a master in his art, compared to Bruce lee, his name escaped me but I remembering reading an article about him years ago, I’ll try to goggle him.

cool if you could find him on the net that would be excellent

Found this on wikipedia:

Muslim styles

Muslim styles are those that were practiced traditionally solely or mainly by the Muslim Hui minority in China. These styles often include Muslim principles or imagery. Some of these styles include Chāquán, Xinyiliuhequan, and Qishiquan.

mashallah I read once about this particular muslim grandmaster along time ago I'll put a link to that article as it's very informative. Thanks for reminding me of this broter he deserves recognition!
Jazakallah for the help!

I need to also put link you sent for the article about the "Hui" people and they're contribution. including the various Chinese muslim styles

Also few Chechen brothers are fighting in amateur boxing, wrestling and other contest such as UFC, PRIDE, and all things Mixed Martial Arts. I’ll find out their names

Another brother

Golden Ali continues East End tradition

That link might not be the brother whom I’m looking for, he is a Bengali brother that does kickboxing.

Another brother called Imran Khan from Sheffield , his does kickboxing and is a champion, have to read this forum to find out more information on him, watch him on channel 5 a few months ago
