Wow that is so good and so true makes perfect sense.

Ive made a few of my own:

Islam is the key to paradise but without practice it wont open the gates (my signature lol)

Life is a journey
So don't live it in worry
Life is a test
Yet life is so blessed.

We are created from 'nothing'
Yet we become 'something'
So how can we deny the existence of something (God)

lol sorry i forgot the rest.

Islam is the Key to paradise but without practice it won't open the gates.

The sin which makes you sad and repentant is more liked by Allah than the good deed which turns you arrogant.

Acquire wisdom and truth from whomever you can because even an apostate can have them.

Hadrat Ali (ra)

"Kindness is a mark of faith, and whoever is not kind has no faith."

Ali ibn Abu Talib upon assuming the caliphate, advised his governor in Egypt, Malik al-Ashtar: "Your subjects are brothers in humanity before they are your brothers in religion."

Anyone can tell the difference between right and wrong, but choosing the better of the two goods and the lesser of two evils is life

Back in BLACK

Metaphorically speaking life is like siiting an exam for school/college/uni.

When you are revising for youre test, its like when you are born.

When you sit down at table to do youre exam, its like you are at the age of knowing whats right and wrong thus youre sins and deeds are being recorded.

When you get stuck on hard question during the exam, its like when you get stuck in life and dont know which way to turn.

Contemplating and going through youre revision notes in youre head, its like finding the right path and knowing what to do next, getting back on track.

Looking over at what youre friend is writing even though you dont know what on earth they are writing, its like lookin for guidence and help to youre friends and family, reaching out for help.

The correct answer you write down is like youre deeds and the incorrect answers you write down is like youre sins.

When the exam is over its like when you die and go to Allah.

The examiners examining youre paper, its like the angels asking you how you spent your life and youre deeds and sins are weighed in front of you.

Finding out the results of youre exam to see if youve passed or failed, its like finding out wether you are worthy enough to go into heaven or end up in hell.

Passing the exam is like passing the test on earth and going to heaven and failing the exam is like failing the test on earth.

In life you get the chance to sit youre exam again and again until you pass. Unfortunately we only have one life on earth and one chance to pass the life exam.

Islam is the Key to paradise but without practice it won't open the gates.

This religion is knowledge so be careful from whom you take your knowledge.

A very famous saying from our brother Malcolm X

"We did'nt land on Plymouth rock, Plymouth rock landed on us"

The meaning behind this famous quote give us the true essence of black slavery which Malcolm X, his ancestor's, his family and his people had to endure, day in day out.

The meaning of this quote is basically they did not out of choice go to United States, but United States came to them.
It came to them in a brutal form and all of a sudden without warning.
The forefathers of America came into their land mostly the countries in Western Africa like Zaire (where Muhammed Ali originates from).
When the came they showed no mercy whatsoever to the people of the land but literally stole them from their own land.
They were too much of cowards to come and do the 'dirty work' themselves so they inticed the hyporites of the land with money and gold to carry out the job.
Women were seperated from their children, children seperated from their mother's, husbands seperated from their wifes etc.
No one was showed any mercy as they were hurled onto ships as if they were the white man's property.
They were stacked together like you stack goods in a van when you go to the cash and carry.
Then they were beaten on a daily basis by there tyrant 'rulers' day in, day out. It took over six months to reache mainland America from Africa where unfortunately many were martyrd due to physical abuse and appalling condiots on the ship, many died of disease. An estimation of over half of the slaves died on their journey.
Once they reached this foreign almost alien land, they were showcased in an exibition for rich white men to come and purchase them.
Many of them went onto the cotton lands, to work day in day out in the harrowing heat with hardly no food or water and if they did not obey they were puished severly.
Many went into homes where they were slaves to their adopted family, these one's were treated slightly better bu not much better than their pet dog.
Many of them went into construction where they help build America's infrustructure and help shape America to what we see it as today.
Many were intoduced to the army where they were on the front lines fighting other black people from either French, Spanish quarters.
Many manage to escape and started to occupy the Carribean islands around the main land such as Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago etc.
Where later on they were finally 'free' to live their own lives.

So next time you hear the famous quote

"We did'nt land on Plymouth rock, Plymouth rock landed on us"

Just think and contimplate on what brother Malcolm X people had to go through.

Fear more the sin when you are out of sight, it is where your witness is also your judge. Ali r.a

James Madison:

Quote:
If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary.

True.

Quote:
In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself.

Exactly.

I remeber thinking about how this is demonstrated in the teachings of Islam, but I can't remember how now.

Gentleness and kindness were never a part of anything except that it made it beautiful, and harshness was never a part of anything except that it made it ugly.

you die only to be ressurected again and live, you only die once but live forever.

Nice.

Whenever you see a servant (of Allah) pursuing people's flaws and neglecting his own flaws, you should then realize that he has been trapped (by the Shaitan).

Daughters are advantages and sons are graces. You will be rewarded for the advantages and asked about the graces.

Bad mannerism in a misfortune is more catastrophic than the misfortune itself.

(I heard Ahmed Thompson say yesterday that his teacher had told him this. Really got me thinking and questioning my world-view. He was talking yesterday about how zakaat should be paid in gold and silver not in worthless paper and plastic. [url='s a short article[/url].)
