You what?! At least once a month over a two year period?! You have got to be kidding me! Thats really scary, to be honest, i would hate to have such nightmares! I'd never be able to force myself to sleep! Did you ever play too many war-like, killing, shooting or soldier games?
Here's some advice for any of you who face nightmares and bad dreams:
It was narrated from Jaabir that the Messenger of Allah (S) said: "If any one of you sees a dream that he dislikes, let him spit drily to his left three times and seek refuge with Allah from the Shaytaan three times, and turn over onto his other side".
And, i thought we were wern't supposed to share our bad dreams with anyone. Im sure thats the case!
Yeah, i searched around and found this: (I need to listen to this advice myself, and avoid asking my closest friends to tell me what bad, they dreamt of!)
It was narrated from Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri that he heard the Messenger of Allah (S) say: "If any one of you sees a dream that he likes, it is from Allah, so let him praise Allah for it and tell people about it. But if he sees something other than that, that he dislikes, it is from the Shaytaan, so let him seek refuge with Allah from its evil and not mention it to anyone, for it will not harm him". (Bukhari: 7045)
Was this therapist of yours a fortune teller? I hope not. I wouldn't believe in them, regardless of how much of my future they predicted and how much of it they predicted right!
Obviously, some dreams can be interpreted, and im sure not all of them have a meaning. But don't ask random people, you'll have to ask the scholars for the interpretation, if there is one.

Whoops, i wonder what happened here?! LOL
Therapists are not fortune tellers and don't claim to be either, afaik.
They make links to what is happening to a person in the present or past - not the future.
"How many people find fault in what they're reading and the fault is in their own understanding" Al Mutanabbi
No, its blank for all of us now. NS decided to remove it, because the Hadith mentions that we should avoid sharing bad dreams!
