The status of Prophet Muhammad (saw)

Allah swt has told us it the Quran.

A few ayahs as examples

[qs:3:31]

[qs:21:107]

[qs:68:4]

[qs:33:56]

[qs:48:9]

[qs:94:4]

[qs:3:164]

It should be self explanatory from them that our beloved Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) is truly a mercy upon mankind, the gateway to our forgiveness and whatever praise we give him Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) can never be enough - because even Allah (swt) sends His durood to him Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) so our words are nothing in comparison!

But sending durood upon the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) will increase our love for the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) and raise our status with Allah swt!

We say we love the Prophet and make a fuss when non-Muslims draw/write/say stuff wrong about him Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) but on a normal day we don't pay much attention to this love. We need to show that we truly love the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) by following his actions, doing what he did, staying away from what he stayed away from, and send salutations upon him like Allah (swt) does.

-Reminder for myself, before anyone else-

May Allah guide us all, bring us closer to Him and his beloved Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) Ameen.

Jazakallah khair for the reminder

Lets reunite the ummah under one flag LA ILAHA IL ALLAH MUHAMMADUR RASULULLAH

The angel of death has never and will never ask permission to take a person's soul - but he asked the Prophet (saw). This shows how different and special the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) was compared to us!

Not that I know of. Maybe.

They're still Prophets (pbut)!

Holy Prophet Mohammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) said,

"He who sends a single Durood upon me, Almighty Allah rewards him ten times and ten good deeds are recorded in his book of good deeds".

(Tirmidhi)

Sayyiduna Anas (ra) narrates that Holy Prophet Mohammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) said,

"He who reads a single Durood upon me, Almighty Allah blesses him ten times, ten of his sins are forgiven and he is increased ten times in stages (spiritually)". (Mishkaat)

Sayyiduna Abu Talha (ra) narrates that he once entered the Court of Holy Prophet Mohammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) and noticed that the Habeeb of Almighty Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) was in a state of great joy and happiness. When he inquired as to the reason for this, Holy Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) replied that,

"Why should I not be happy and joyous? At this very moment Sayyiduna Jibra'el Ameen (as) has brought me a message. Almighty Allah has declared, 'O Muhammad! Are you not pleased with this, that if any of your followers sends a single Durood upon you, I and My Angels (Malaa'ikah) send ten blessings upon that person, ten of his sins are pardoned and ten good deeds are recorded in his favour. He who sends Salaams upon you, I send Salaam upon him, so therefore, notify your Ummah of this good news and tell them that it is now left to them to either increase or decrease the recital of the Durood Shareef'". (Nisaai)

Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Masood (ra) narrates that Holy Prophet Mohammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) said,

"On the Day of Qiyamah, the closest to me from among the people will be those that have read the most amount of Durood ". (Tirmidhi)

Mohammed RAFIQ??

Mohammed (PBHU)commands in his Quran that the hands of male or female thieves should be cut off.

5:38 Cut off the hands of thieves, whether they are male or female, as punishment for what they have done—a deterrent from God, God is almighty and wise. 39 But if anyone repents after his wrongdoing and makes amends, God will accept

My English is not very good

I see you ignore verse 39 which is also in your quotation.

How about murder?

You're on the wrong thread. There's a shariah law thread, go there. gosh.

you can't compensate for a life like you can most other crimes.

even here though, lenience is allowed - the strength of final punishment is up to the family of the victim.

he totally igored you and went and asked another question. at first i thought it was just oz he was inquisitive. but now i just think he's a bit of coward. i think cowardice is contagious, you have been warned (All of you) - or was it idiocy...hmmm...

Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?

That's contagious too.

"The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) was the first to be created in the form of noor"

It is related that Jabir ibn `Abd Allah said to the Prophet : "O Messenger of Allah, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you, tell me of the first thing Allah created before all things." He said: "O Jabir, the first thing Allah created was the light of your Prophet from His light, and that light remained (lit. "turned") in the midst of His Power for as long as He wished, and there was not, at that time, a Tablet or a Pen or a Paradise or a Fire or an angel or a heaven or an earth. And when Allah wished to create creation, he divided that Light into four parts and from the first made the Pen, from the second the Tablet, from the third the Throne, [and from the fourth everything else]." Musannaf Abdur Razzaq

A hadith I was told today for the first time: One day the holy Prophet (peace be upon him) asked the angel Jibrail (a.s), “O Jibrail how old are you?”
Then the angel Jibrail (a.s) replied, “I have no knowledge of my age, but I only know that on the fourth (hijab) veil of honour there is a star that used to appear and sparkle every seventy years; and I have seen that star glittering seventy two thousand times.”
Thus the holy Prophet (peace be upon him) added, “I swear by the honour of my lord that the star was in fact me!” Al-Imam al-Bukari in his Tarikh-Ul-Kabir, Al-Imam Ismail al-Haqq in Tafsir Ruhul Bayan (Vol.1 p.974)

"The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) was the first Muslim, and the first to prostrate to Allah (swt)" - I heard this today, well I've probably heard it before too but anyway -
After a quick google, couldn't find anything relevant to this or a source. Maybe that makes the question I'm about to ask irrelevant. I know it's in Dr Tahir ul Qadri's book, does anyone have another source for it?

I was just thinking how could the Prophet saw be the first to worship Allah swt if he was just a light? :S

oooooooh, wait, Angel are light too so light can worship. I see.

I forgot to add this:

The WHOLE WORLD was created for the Prophet (saw). If Allah (swt) hadn't created him, we wouldn't be here!

I need to finish reading Ash shifa
