One main criticism of the conference by some people was the combined prayer with all the other faiths. Biggest criticism was where a hindu lady prayed to her 'baghwaan' and people are saying she was promoting shirk etc....

The idea of the combined prayer was that all religions are coming together on one platform praying for peace and denouncing terrorrism and extremism. Of course if different religions are gonna pray it will be according to THEIR religion.

Just like when a christian delegation came to the Prophet([pbuh) and asked them they needed to pray he took them to his masjid and allowed them to pray as they wished- so shirk was being prayed in the masjid nabwi in the presence of the prophet (pbuh)- this is what you call religious freedom.

So I think its fuss about nothing as unfortunately we don't understand how our prophet dealt and worked with non Muslims.

How come that's not allowed now? Well I doubt any non-Muslim would pray there but then they're not even allowed in are they?

Salaams,
I was part of the people who organised the multi faith prayer!
and we know that the intention was mainky to show that Islam is all welcoming and that we respect all religions!
Hopefully everyone took it the right way and enjoyed it too!
Islam was the religion that shun the most Alhamdulillah! (so no worries)
