I find this question extremely annoying, and i will use now as an occasion to rant. to talk about this week. and stuff.
So, you come out of the exam and the sole things on people's lips is "How did you find it?" then they have this expecting face on and they are slightly leaning forward...waiting for you to utter words of wisdom; these words will SURELY save their life and make them pass the exam..obviously.
I am solely against this act of going round asking random people "how did you find it?". What are people trying to GET out of this? Anyone wanna explain?
and what are you suppose to say? "hard" "easy" "alright" and then...*Awkward moment because your answer doesnt go with theirs*
What's the point, anyone wanna explain to this unsocial thing here?
~sigh~ Real life people...

Jan exam week.
monday- Core maths (1h30, am)
first exam i ever do in this school, and i had a good laugh to be honest.
its a gym and the changing room is behind, upstairs, and the wall that separates the changing has a big gap at the top (the wall doesnt touch the ceiling) so if you're talking up there when an exam is going on, or if your phone goes off, its as if you've done it in the exam.
So...teachers decided to, after the exam, dismiss us ONE AT A TIME. I was in seat B2, she started from B15 (or was it twelve?) i say, nap time.
Then somehow someone said let more go in once go. IN COMPLETE SILENCE. Idiotic girl get upstairs in the cloakroom and..."HOW DID IT GO!?!" and iwas stuck in all this, trying t ograb my back and GET OUT. BUT...teacher 1 gets upstairs and says "we have told you you werent suppose to talk up here, an exam is STILL going on downstairs, you will go back and sit down and will have to wait until that other exam finishes"
First i thought i heard wrong...
then i realised i heard right...
SO i went back to my little B2 seat....
i couldnt help grinning, it was just so ironically lame and funny. At some point in her lecture, she says "girls turn around and look at this gap"
haha..that lady's funny...me? turn around? melady, you're pushing it... So i didnt turn around, and she was giving her lecture right in front of me (what with me being second row, second seat and all) so yeah *GRIN* REBELLIOUS YEAH! ( i just had a MATHS exam, i cannot be bothered to think about her position etc..., im a teenager, she's a teacher. end of)
Wednesday - Psychology (1h, pm)
that was okay, i stared at the 10 marker..and stared some more..then moved on..and saw TWO 6 markers..so i did some more staring... i thought that with al lthis staring, somehow, in my brain, someone was working out the answers and when i went back to the Q's i'll just have to write it all down...
well..i had to do the questions myself..
im sure, if you look at someone's messy/neat ness. you can tell if they know what they were doing...
Thursday - Chemistry (1h am)
ahh chemistry. I like chemistry. Octahedral does not always mean 8. sometimes it means the shape of a BF6 molecule.
Anyway, there was this minute little extended writing question of ONLY 5 (or 3?) marks. and me..being an idiot...got all flustered over it and ran out of paper..and there wasnt any additional paper at the back, so you had to request it. Only a few minutes of the exam, but i KNEW that if i didnt write this i would miss out on marks. SO i request additional paper (its some kind of special paper) but they didnt have it. So i wrote it on a piece of paper and the invigilator tells me that i'll have to come with her after the exam to get it sorted. -_-. END OF EXAM, im stay seated while everyone moves and on the way there, URGH everyone asks me why im sitting there... do i explain the whole scenari? grr...
FINALLY i follow the lady and where do we go, to the downstairs hall, in front of an assembly of year 11 mock-ers. Grrr..talk about being showed up...making me go back and forth from the front of the stage to the exam office of the side of the hall I FINALLY have to copy that sentence (3 lines) on this additional piece of paper..and ADULTS kept of apologizing..."sorry about this" "sorry about that" here... please..stop now before i selfcombust...
FRIDAY - STATISTICS AND SOCIOLOGY PM
biggest biggie i ever met. was horrible revising for it. Started off with stat. not bad, gave it my best. then SOCIOLOGY, 1h, TWO 24 markers...(amongst other Q's) so, Exam officer dismisses everyone and me and the other sociology takers stay seated. He looks at us funny..."what are you guys waiting for?"
ouch… euh… *panic*?
Finally he gets it and tell us we can have a break and go over our notes and whatnot (WHAT?! That is SO potential for cheating!)
Get the paper, start doing it, urgh urgh urgh, lets get on with this..urgh urgh urgh and…KABOUUUMMMMMM and TING TING TING TING TING!! NOO THE SCHOOL’S COMING DOWN!!! ARGH RUN!!!! LOOK AT INVIGILATOR!! NO! DON’T LOOK! NOT ALLOWED TO MAKE EYECONTACT! ARGH!
Oh..its the rain..well..seems it was hail or something..and lightning! And thunder! And me..stuck here…writing my hand off..while I could be out there…in the rain… T.T I didn’t even have a window to look out from…
Finally dreaded hour over. LETS GET OUTTA HERE!
____________
For June exam. Make notes THROUGHOUT the month PRIOR to exam month. so that when it comes to revision, we do REVISION, and we dont learn new stuff...
and we get to sleep. Not revise like crazies till 12/1am. Coz that's not cool. no, thats boringly uncool.

You got out alive then!
Btw, you asked me "how was it?" (well "how was psychology?") on tuesday...

I always felt that if my hand didn't hurt at the end of the exam, i'd prob have missed out something
Did your hand hurt Lilio? Was it worth the getting the paper trip?
Jihad of the Nafs (The Struggle of the Soul)
TRUTHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
well..my hand hurt after humanities subject, aka, psychology. and my hand was hurting DURING sociology. Maths and Chemistry are okay in term of handhurting...
well..i had to CONVINCE myself that it was worth it, else i'll just have run way from all those grown up being sorry and them bored mock-ers.
@Feef: i dont mean in that sense, where you actually care about the person and want to know if they had any problem, (way after the exam when they had time to think about it and reflect etc..) Im tlaking about the stepping-out-of-the-exam-hall-i-dont-really-know-you-but-i-need-to-share-my-anxiety "how dyou find it?"
Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?
next time im trying "fine"!! and yeah, getting out of that place FAST is a good one. usually they catch you in the common room or the lunch queue and question you some more though ¬_¬
i would NEVER waste time on something's that done and gone. whats the point in discussing it? its not as if my telling you you did it wrong or reassuring you you did it write is going to change anything, worse, if you find out you've done something wrong, you're stuck knowing that forever.
Ignorance is bliss in these circumstances.
Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?
Oh I get ya now
psych and sociology are both social sciences

lol at feefs!
yh i dnt see the point of discussing exams after their finished! :s
people even take the exam paper with them to go over each question.....once im done i just have a wait and see policy and deal with any flares of anxiety as and when they come up!

It is I. Shrek.
Ok so your hand hurt - good on ya pal - i'm sure you did great! [InshaAllah!] (wow haven't used 'pal' in AGES)
Jihad of the Nafs (The Struggle of the Soul)
what is this you say child?! i was only 5 posts away!!! shall i text you? now? hehe...
Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?
Yeah that always happens to me. I usually say 'it was good' becuase I thought it went alright. But when someone I consider to be smarter than me says they did rubbish; the happy, content smile drops off my face in an instant:
Oh, no, I've failed.

WOuldn't it be better to say something like "68%"?
