What do you offer?

jeopardy time.

Imagine a world that is overcrowded. By one individual.

Out of the billions of people out there one must be killed.

And its your turn on the stand. What do you offer now, or in the future that would get the noose off you neck?

Other than the fact that I'm not George Bush?

Don't just do something! Stand there.

no, what do YOU offer? Not what what others don't offer.

This is supposed to be a potentially positive topic. Focus on your own good rather than someone elses bad.

But that's not as fun!

Should boasting be encouraged?

Tha's my job!

I really do think the question is really a good one. What do we offer? what do we take? how do we justify our existence except by the answer that "we exist - there is no need for any further justification".

He's basically saying what would you say to convince them that you're worth keeping alive.

Couldn't you give an example of the sort of thing you want, perhaps by giving us YOUR justification?

Anything. That would mean you are useful or potentially useful to someone is some way that may be enough to stop you from being the one person being exterminated.

Me - I can probably make another moderate quality website. Maybe the survivors (everyone bar one) will instead of doing work and being useful want to just sit and chat on some web forums?

Bang on.

You could be the voice over guy. Always useful when the scripting is not going too well.

I bring the gift of child-like laughter.

hehehehehehehe

(hows that?)

much better.

Now can someone raise the childhood laughter with something better?

I can't think of anything that I can do that others can't already do better. Sorry.

Don't just do something! Stand there.

That does not rule you out. A bike needs two wheels. A (four-wheeled) car needs four.

What do you offer? it does not have to be the best, just something good.

I'm good at starting things and not seeing them through til the end. If we can find someone who is good at finishing things but is too lazy to start anything on their own, we'll make a perfect team!

Deal!

Yeah but if we can only keep one of you, which one of you do we kill?

My heart.

And if you decide that I have to die, don't hang me. Just give a few minutes to compose myself then do something quick.

p.s. If you don't wait for me to compose myself I may refuse to die and kill you instead.

Gentleness and kindness were never a part of anything except that it made it beautiful, and harshness was never a part of anything except that it made it ugly.

Just a shame that being pedantic ain't seen as a good thing Lol .

There are logical issues with the scenario, such as the likelihood that so many people would have been born and others died in the time it would take to ask everyone to justify themselves and compare the answers as to make the exercise pointless, but in any event the question is good food for thought. I won't be so bold as to suggest an answer here. Admin, you're own answer isn't very serious!
