Say "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Truly He is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful. And turn [in repentance] to your Lord…" [Al Zumar: 53-54]

Have you ever felt constricted, that you’ve sinned too much and there’s no way out for you? That you were tested by Allah and failed? As human beings we are all forgetful and make mistakes, we have ups, downs, and breakdowns in life – but our moments of darkness can be blessings in disguise - if we recognise that the One who created us is calling us with a personal invitation to turn back to Him in tawbah (repentance).

The Almighty praises and loves those who turn to Him in repentance often – but how does He want us to do this? What are the conditions of sincere repentance and what are its fruits and rewards? This course will explain in detail the aspects of tawbah according to the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him).

It is the mission of shaytan to derail us from the path to Allah, but through the act of tawbah Allah has given us hope that, if we slip, we can always go back to Him, and should never despair of His mercy. Join us on this one day course to find out how we can respond to the call of Allah.

"Draws near for mankind their reckoning, while they turn away in heedlessness.” [Al-Anbiyaa’: 1]

Surat Al-Anbiyaa’ is the 21st chapter of the Qur’an and is a Meccan Surah. It covers Islamic creed in its diverse branches such as the message, Allah’s Divine Unity, resurrection, the day of reckoning and its hardships and fearsome encounter. The surah also relates the stories of the Holy Prophets.

Allah begins the surah with a distinct warning that the hour is fast approaching, yet many people are dismissive and are not preparing for that point of no return. Where Allah has blessed us with the Holy Qur’an as a means of guidance and preparation through the most blessed example of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), you have the people rejecting the Messenger with flawed claims, claims that Allah abolishes in this surah in His Divine way through the stories of the Prophets.

Who is this a warning to? And what lessons can we learn from the examples of our Holy Prophets? With Allah affirming the principle behind committing a sin, that it forms no part of human heritage, this surah radiates the hope that we can eradicate our sins through Allah’s mercy by sincere repentance, making it only fair that man is accountable for his own trespasses and faults.

“You have indeed in the Messenger of Allah an excellent example for him who hopes in Allah and the Last Day, and who remembers Allah much” (Surah Ahzab: 21)
