That was a point I made to senator Graham a while back with gay marriage.

It's also the one sen. Santorem made and got blasted for, if there is no religious or traditional western cultural standard for marriage - why not have civil partnerships for polygamous relationships, or incestual relationships.

Without a standard it just becomes a tax incentive freeforall.

Incidentally my roommates tried to get married in protest. They flat out told the state they were just exploiting the court opinion for tax benefits and got shut down.

lol apparently the government can tell us not only what relationships are allowed, but on what pretexts as well.

I have no idea how UK mortgages work... nor US for that matter - I took one property law course in my entire life and that was enough for me... all I remember was the ruling against perpetuities in like 1066...

lol well she isn't the type of girl that requires a status report of what i've been doing and when all day long.

Although she occasionally makes strange asides and whoever that random guest was kinda talked like her, so I do often wonder.

lol yes I understood the last paragraph but I guess undergrad legal studies are different for you guys... that's a lot of different kinds of law, usually in the US we just focus on one course of study in law - i'm conlaw and international (because I punish myself).

thats a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooot of work you got there.

You should hire a lawyer to do some of it for you!
