Is there a time that Kashmiris can point back to that hindus and muslims actually got along
...in Kashmir itself, or generally across India?
I was asking him Kashmir specifically since it sounds like they have always had a princely state unto themselves.
However i'm also curious about India on the whole.

I think generally, throughout history there have been periods of co-operation and periods of hostility. Even today in parts of india muslims and hindu get along ok.
Eventually kashmir will be liberated inshaALLAH, justice will be established for all. AND everyone is gonna have cake.

It kinda sounds like this is a repeat of what we saw in the balkans.
Recently a train carrying hindu pilgrims to a disputed location near kashmir burnt down killing alot of people.
This lead to the deaths of about 2000 muslims in retaliation.
later it was found out that some numpty had decided to cook on the train... and the fire had gotten out of control.
There is hope now that th BJP are no longer in power, but it is slim.

The Idolworshippers are savages. They rape and pillage and loot at will. And thats just the "trained" army.
First time I read the book Army of Madinah in Kashmir I was shocked.
You wanna talk about human rights abuses go and ask the filthy pagans of india. They know it better than they know their families.

there's no need to stereotype Med...
Many Hindus disagree with BJP ideology and tactics... in fact some were also killed in the Gujarat violence for protecting their Muslim neighbours.

So always make the distinction in your posts.
And it may actually be the hardcore idol worshippers who tried to protect muslims, and the seculars who went on a rampage...

Just found an ok article about the DeM group. People always wonder how a muslim woman should be. Alhamdulillah the role models from Islamic history are fantastic but today who can be taken as role models?
Which muslim women are at once strong on their religion and actively involved in muslim life? Well, some might argue that if a woman feels the urge to emerge from the home and get involved in extra-curricular activity then the DeM outift may be a good role model.
Social reform, active participation in local politics, assistance in the freedom struggle, da'wat and tableegh - all are activities undertaken by DeM.
