Ditto for girls. Either can change, and it's as simple as that.
There's nothing (to speak of) intrinsic about being male that means they're definitely rude or ruder than girls.
You missed one question, which isn't obvious to me - why? :/
(I didn't ask if some boys were respectful and others weren't i asked if they only respected girls they knew)

Well it still applies, some are respectful to some, some are respectful to all, some none. It doesn't really matter, fact is everyone varies.
Some people need to know people to respect them, some are respectful to everyone by default.
Why are people disrespectful? Because they want to be.

I don't think it's that simple :/ There must be a reason for such mentality. Maybe it's the way they've been brought up or something :S

It can be upbringing, arrogance or a default assumoption that people arenot worth respecting til they are.
Or they may need to realise that the person is human - hence where the links come in such as sister, friends sister, someone int he same class, same skin colour, with the same handbag or who gets bullied by the same person - anything to help the person to be identified as human and like them.

But my friends said that ^ today. I've never really thought about it and i don't know any teenage boys that well. It seems like a huge generalisation but if that's true it's a horrible thought.
And why don't they? :/
its all a big perception that guys dont treat girls well and that they are like this and all violent and reh reh reh
i've met guys that are proper gentle and care and respect everyone
i respect girls
and it depends on the guy really some guys dont thats true
but to have respect you dont just want it but earn it

But the same time I've also come across girls who have no respect for guys also.
And I hardly believe respect needs to be 'earned' in the first instance. I think everyone should give respect to each other no matter what. If you are waiting at the bus stop and a person asks you what the time is or if a particular bus number has gone already, are you going to answer them back in disrespect or answer them politely?... The latter I would assume...hence respect is given in the first instance. I think it's only when someone does something to bad or stupid or something that the other person would loose that respect for him/her.
I also think one needs to respect themselves before they except other people to respect them.

Ah well.
Ive been thinking about this, cos i probably have seen it too many times.....people that display any form of anti social behaviour simply because they cannot consider the feelings of others should be locked up! i think its outrageous that one person can make another person's life miserable for whatever reason!!!
people find it very difficult to put themselves in others shoes, its not that hard is it????

you may not have noticed this, but there is another button next to the quote button with the word "reply" written on it.
It may be of use to you.
You only need to quote if you are quoting a small segment of another post, or if the pot you are replying to is not the last post in the topic and you want people to be able to follow the conversation.

Do you agree with the statement that "boys don't respect girls unless they know them/have some sort of connection"
But my friends said that ^ today. I've never really thought about it and i don't know any teenage boys that well. It seems like a huge generalisation but if that's true it's a horrible thought.
And why don't they? :/
Command respect don't demand it.

friend of mine telling me about her crossing the road. some guys stop and call out to her and ask for her number. she ignores them and gets called a h*e.
if she had given it she would have been called that. and when she doesnt she has. -_-

Dont confuse boys with men. The difference is in their haya.
You missed one question, which isn't obvious to me - why? :/
(I didn't ask if some boys were respectful and others weren't i asked if they only respected girls they knew)
"How many people find fault in what they're reading and the fault is in their own understanding" Al Mutanabbi

Ah well.

"Verily, in the remembrance of Allah, do hearts find rest"
Ive been thinking about this, cos i probably have seen it too many times.....people that display any form of anti social behaviour simply because they cannot consider the feelings of others should be locked up! i think its outrageous that one person can make another person's life miserable for whatever reason!!!
people find it very difficult to put themselves in others shoes, its not that hard is it????
"Verily, in the remembrance of Allah, do hearts find rest"
omg dude i agree with you on that you can speak to someone respectfully but if they had come to you and spoke like 'oi you, whats the f***ing time' i dont know about you but i wouldnt speak to them with respect il be like 'oi you shut your nose you tramp'
but i know what your saying everyone deserves to be treated with respect.

you may not have noticed this, but there is another button next to the quote button with the word "reply" written on it.
It may be of use to you.
You only need to quote if you are quoting a small segment of another post, or if the pot you are replying to is not the last post in the topic and you want people to be able to follow the conversation.
