Caste and Trade

What do you think about the caste system? Are you totally against it or do you think it has some benefits. Where do you draw the line in its importance or lack thereof?

I am Qurayshi by clan and tailors by trade. I think the caste system is good for identification but I dont agree that one caste is superiour to another except the Sayyid, Siddiqi, Farooqi, Usmani/Ghani, Alawi, Abbasi castes.

I dont think Raja, Chaudhry, Jatt etc are better than us Qurayshis, nor do I think that us Qurayshis are better than Musallies and Naaies. We all equal but different.

i agree with u about bringing new blood into the family.marrying in the family/first cousins causes nothing but trouble. i know, its happened in mine.ok, it will have some good points, but has got many bad points.

If one family member has an argument with his wife/husband, the whole family gets involved! :? dont understand

i know someone who is being pressurised to get married to her cousin-

her family ONLY believes in cousin marriges

she stressing cos she has already chosen someone she wants to get married to

whoever a person gets married to cousin or not is irrelevent

but the end choice should be theirs

caste system in pakistan was created under the rule of british they thought of a way of keeping the people not united so with the help of hindus and traitor muslims came up with the caste system shame on you people who are proud of your caste or recognise your caste . all caste are wrong and represent pride , stupidity and disunity may the day come when no pakistani knows what caste they are

castes are not a new thing.

After all was t not hadith that mentoned some people marry a woman due to her family? (and that we should choose piety...)
