L-test hell for S Korean driver

A South Korean grandmother has failed her written driving test 771 times.

Police in the city of Jeonju said the 68-year-old woman has taken, and failed, the written test repeatedly since April 2005.

She failed the exam once again on Monday but has said that she will continue trying...

How motivating.
When at first you dont succeed, try try again
she did so 771 times....and got nowhere...
BUT its great thats shes still trying.....

Maybe she will pass at some point?

And its probably like an almost daily activity for her now. She is old and has her own business too!

I just think its sad that shes 68 and feels she has to pass her driving test. She must be having fun. Maybe this is a hobby for her. She's probably addicted to the idea of driving and then failing. Or maybe she wants to make it to the Guiness Book of Records. Or maybe she likes someone at the test centre. Or maybe the 771 is her magic number.

 

Woman passes 950th driving test

A South Korean woman is celebrating after passing the written exam for a driving licence - on her 950th attempt.

After four years of trying, 68-year-old Cha Sa-soon finally managed to secure the 60 out of 100 points needed to pass the test.

The grandmother has spent more than 5m won ($4,200, £2,600) on application fees for the test.

Now Mrs Cha, who lives in Jeonju, 130 miles (210km) south of Seoul, must pass the practical test to get on the road...
